Top tip. If I've "appreciated" your post it means I've put it up on the big board. This is how I keep track of which posts I've gone through.

Biggest thing that slows me down is trying to sift through posts for all the information and then having to hand type it in instead of the poster putting it all on one line so I can just copy and paste. Please post up your info on one line in the following format to help expedite things:

Laptime Username Car (tires, pads, significant mods)

Been really busy this year with the E36 race car. I've been fairly dominant in my local clubs. I've set 4 class track lap time records, have locked up the ProAuto Sports PS2 championship already, and have an outside chance at the NASA GTS3 championship even though I've missed a few events. Two more events for NASA this year, so I'll focus on those and go for the double championship. I'll probably take the first half of next year off and refresh the race car. It is absolutely beat to hell and is literally being held together by zip ties, racers tape, and coolant quick stop (leaking head gasket).

Being the class frontrunner, my biggest fun this year has been picking on the big bore race cars that are lagging behind, lol! These frickin Corvettes are all over the place, banging on me, slamming the door on me etc. On this video, you'll see I get the last laugh though.

W2W videos are like crack from the gateway drug HPDE.......But thanks for sharing and thanks for updating the board.

Thanks for maintaining this Maynard! It looks like to be quite the undertaking and congrats on the W2W success!

Nice driving and solid time! You shift pretty aggressively (like I do ), consider turning your palm away (thumb down) on your 3rd to 4th upshift. You're making me a little nervous for your wallet.

Thank you sir! Haha I will try, I'm just very used to shifting that way.

Great drive... impressive patience and refusal to overdrive the car like the back marker 'vettes did after you kept embarrassing them!

Your car looked amazing. I was out the same day in the grey M4 GTS, first time getting that car on track. On my last stint I was able to turn.. 2:03.xx three times I'm hoping to whittle that down to the 1:57-1:58 range. Hopefully I'll see you out there in 2020, would like to chat.

I was wondering who’s GTS that was, great looking car! I’m sure you can keep knocking time off. That track is fairly technical and I keep finding time with more seat time.

I’ll be out there off and on through 2020, feel free to stop by and chat.

For sure, I don't know how many thousands of laps I have out there in a Miata/STI but each outing I'd find new lines. T6 and T11 have so many lines. Just waiting for them to post their 2020 calendar so I can start planning my weekends. See you out there.

Track: Mugello Circuit, Scarperia & San Piero, Italy.
Time: 2:51.713 on a wet track measured using a transponder
Car: 2018 M3
Suspension: Nitron R1 coilovers with 450/750 springs and front camber plates.
Brakes: Essex AP Racing 9660 with Ferodo DTC-70 front pads and titanium shims. No front cooling.
Ferodo D2500 pads in rear on stock calipers. Porsche front scoops on rear suspension arm and 2" CEET hose to rear rotor.
Wheels/tires: 19" Signature SV503s with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 275/30-19 & 305/30-19.

The PS4Ss did well with longitudinal traction - braking and acceleration were superb, but lateral grip slightly less so. I was running 32 psi cold all around and probably could have dropped it a bit for more grip. I had the shocks set to 6/22 (really soft) all around.

And a little slide...

Track: Laguna Seca
Laptime: 1:40.5
Car: 2019 M2 Competition 6MT
Mods: BM3 CS+ map, Ohlins R/T with GC camber plates, 275/35/18 square NT01s, Essex AP Racing brake kit (front and rear) with DS3.12 pads.

Still far from a perfect. There are some mistakes such as early braking and carrying less speed than the car can handle at couple corners. 1:38 is definitely doable with me driving or even a better time with a more experienced driver.

I closed the valves and unplugged the cables so that they don't open at WOT.

Did the same with exhaust valve controller but still blew sound. MPE? Definitely would be OK with stock exhaust and valves closed

Remus Sport + AA midpipe but this was a 92dB day. However, just for reference, my previous car was an M4C with MPE and in all my track days at Laguna I would open the valves and unplug the cables just to keep them open all the time (exact opposite of what I'm doing now). Never once blew the sound with open valved MPE. This was in 2017-2018 season. Something definitely changed in the last year or two and I keep seeing even some stock cars blowing the sound (with open valves).

No doubt something has changed recently and while I still love the track, it does take something away when you have to lift and/or short shift at T5 exit.

I had a few 92.3 and 92.7, don’t remember the exact numbers but had three in three days. Luckily it was with two different run groups over those three days. MPE with exhaust valve controller keeping the valves closed/quiet, blew mostly in the AM fog.

Heard they have a roving meter as well, but I’ve never witnessed that.

Praying for the return of more high decibel days, but highly unlikely.
