BM3 Stage 1 tune with catless downpipes

Hi, was wondering if its okay to run Stage 1 tune with catless downpipe. I plan on getting more supporting mods first such as charge pipes and change the gap on the spark plugs, etc.

I currently have the NGK ones but they are gapped to 0.028. Is it really necessary to gap them to around 0.022 for stage 2?

Catless is fine with stage 1.
