Might as well add this for now. Done on 285/30/20 Michelin PS4S, stock motor, no meth, no PI. Was spinning to 90mph+, so hoping to get deeper into the 5s with the new R888R.

1st solid attempt with the 285/30/20 R888R on. Overall worse conditions- lower E85% (E69), twice the incline, higher ambient temps. Faster time. Finally getting some traction.
Can't wait to see what this can do when temps drop and I find some level ground.

Move me up the 1/4 mile list a little.
10.06 @ 146.4 MPH - 1.760 60' - TopJimmy / F82 M4 DCT / Built Engine & Head / Kratos EVOs / PJT E85+PI / XHP / Dodson / DSS / DR2s / DA ??? Sadly last Friday I wrecked her badly at the dragstrip trying to get into the Nines. I was so close. Time to rebuild… Y'all be safe making numbers. -TJ

The price we pay sometimes, trying for glory.
This one is my payment. Can't give up… I was only 0.076s from getting Kratos into the Nines. I post the pic so we all remember the risk we take going fast. Stay safe brothers and sisters. I had a full face helmet and fire jacket on. Luckily the jacket wasn't put to its task.

If you don't mind sharing...what happened? Lost traction on launch? What tires?

On this run in 4th I got the wheelspin and a little drift right, so I lifted…but the rear came center and across left. I steered left to try and catch the rear but the wall was coming in front of me. I was wearing Hoosier DR2s…wide 315/30/18 and I had a line lock for heating them up. I had just replaced the rear toe and traction links with SPL, and had a fresh drag alignment (minimized camber and toe).

Which TCU software is better for drag / roll racing? CS or GTS?
Perhaps from both xPH is the best one but for now I have these two as a choice of installation. |

For real drag racing XHP allows you to adjust the Launch RPM and the traction control settings.

This car is crazy consistent. Blows my mind. Same stretch of road, 45 min apart.
Also noticed lower ambient temps surprisingly haven't made that much of a difference. Ran roughly the same time with a 20°f higher ambient temp and slightly higher elevation.

Still workin' through the tuning but for the sake of comparison, here's my 3rd run on the new setup with my 6mt car. It's wild to see how consistent the times are between me and Astris until the shift comes. I need a little help on the traction front on the initial hit, but i'm shifting at 6500 still. It seemed like shifting later was slower, but i'll play with the shift points a bit. Might be time for some stickier tires and some rear suspension goodies - the car is definitely wandering pretty hard.
tldr; DCT cars are fast.
