Macht Schnell springs

Can anyone and everyone who has experience with Macht Schnell springs please share your knowledge here. I’d really like to hear some first hand experiences before making a purchase.

Here is a picture showing stock vs MS springs. To be honest it rides lower than I would like, resulting in many scrapes to the bumper, rear diff, etc but it handles a lot nicer with less body roll.

i actually just got my car back from getting them done. drove the car back home and two more times since then and the ride is much more comfortable, first thing i noticed. other than that the drop is really nice, most likely will get 19’s to fill out the gap a bit more because i’m on 513ms right now.

Thanks for the info. Just want to be sure, are these scrapes not visible and on the underside of the front bumper?

Is there any concern to the rear diff scraping?

Thanks!

Have any pics of your bumper scrapes so we can have an idea as to what you are referring about to?
Thx

Hear it settles quite a bit over time. That would be my only concern if what was posted - the gray car - was getting scrapes to the FRONT of the bumper and not just the not visible underneath. Also the scraping of the rear diff is something I’m not familiar with.

This has me nervous because I had my heart set on Macht Schnells and was only a little worried about the ride height. I dont plan on running the front cf lip, and was hoping any scraping would just be in non visible areas

Would love to see some pics / angles of your car! What are the specs? Competition package? Guessing not because of the smaller wheels?

Also, would love to see or hear about what kind of driveways and or speedbumps you’ve had to deal with.

yea i got you definitely! it’s a base 16 M3, silverstone on silverstone but wrapped satin black. i used to have 437ms but traded them for 513s. i think the old ones would’ve looked better, i just think 18’s are too small for this car.

as far as the springs, i think they definitely will settle a bit more. the other guy that posted his side by side looks a bit lower than mine. so far, i do go in and out of everywhere at a heavy angle just out of safety, tried going out of my gas station at a smaller angle and heard the bottom of the lip scrape so yea. if you don’t run a lip you’re definitely a bit safer, you might catch the bottom of the bumper in certain areas but that’s just normal when you lower a car. probably has something to do with my wheel setup too though but if i have the lip i have and i’m not scraping at an angle then you won’t have much to worry about with no lip.

Are these scratches just on the bottom side and not visible when looking at the car from the top down?

If you are truly concerned about scraping, just don't lower the car. You will just drive yourself crazy everytime you approach a speed bump or any steeper incline and be paranoid to scrape everything and damage components under the car

I have another lowered car, so I am familiar… I am just trying I get an idea of what this kit is like.

Would like to see some front car pics of the car that is scraping. I could care less if it’s just the bottom and you can see anything looking head on or down at the car.

Loved them...... out of the 3 different sets I tried they were my favorite

I tried H&R, MS & EMD... then the KW HAS kit then finally coilover. Here it is on the MS springs

Cars look fantastic! Thanks for sharing!

Was told that’s the CS front lip. Did you scrape a lot before / after you put it on with the MS springs?
