Not a fan. However I'm going to hold all judgment until the auto show. From the captured images the M3 the far beyond the M4 in the looks department. But we'll have to see what is unveiled in 2 weeks.

Sorry I understand it's most likely a pre production model, the car and the color combo does nothing for me. Wheels are the best thing about the car and that doesn't say much

Truth is that there is to little difference between how this car looks and the F32 Msport. Granted the fenders are wider but not so noticeable and ya the vent is more pronounced but that's really it. The Msport bumpers front and rear look very close to the M4 bumpers...thats why when they first reveled it they did so wearing all the extra goodies.
I know the performance will be there and it will handle and be very quick but it seems like the M3 coupe magic is gone pretty much. No more high revving V8 is the real killer. It does not make me want it over my car...i really wanted an M3 coupe when i had a 328I coupe This is coming from a guy who has a 428I Msport and is very happy that he did not wait for the M4 this time around. Saved my money and still looking good and handling fantastic!

glad i am not crazy and people see what i see. i actually like the sound of a GTR with exhaust. although IMO V6s have always sounded better to me than I6s. same thing with Flat 6 (Porsche) sound better than I6. |

F80 M3 is better looking in all the spy picts. More and more, I'm starting to truly believe the M4 will not be as aggressive looking as we'd all want it to be. Looks like a bloated / wider M435i and plain-ish.

Did the E92 M3 coupe receive such a negative response when it was spotted on the streets before production (such as this) ?
I can't recall any car on any forum I have participated in receiving such a poor response prior to its release. |

IMO I think we're getting a bit too carried away with the esthetics and that is understandable since we haven't driven it yet and visuals is the only thing we have thus far to go on...a few pictures that pop up here and there. I think that at the end of the day, M stands for performance, handling and pure driving nirvana. Not esthetics necessarily. Sure the latter is important but the sum of the car is much more than just looks. So the question that I try to ask myself is, am I going to pass up on this car on esthetics alone even if its an amazing drive? I honestly don't think so. We buy these type of cars for the way they drive first and foremost because we're car people who enjoy driving and playing with their cars. If I wanted something pretty to look at, then I would buy a Picasso and just look at it...anyways, thought I would chime in with a different POV

if you looks at the E90 vs the F80. the front bumper of the E90 has a sleeker bumper, it also looks lower to the ground. (the front bumper). the E46 and E90 where made in a different automotive era. where MPG was less important and there were less government pressure we are seeing the affects of this right now. about those old threads of the E90. go back to 2008 threads they are there. |

for many, that say they need/want to see more real and actual photos of the newest M4 M3 when it is officially unveiled?
what's there more to see? it is obvious at this point,- the new M4 M3 is superior to E92 E90 M3. perioid.

Wow car looks so boring. The lines have been so blurred with base models and M sport models that the real M cars dont stand out anymore. The only thing that would turn heads in this car are the funny farts its makes when it shifts. The new M3 looks amazing though.

Rear: hot
Front: obnoxious and busy, hood line is quite awful Driving dynamics: TBD Microphones belong in the studio not in the engine compartment and respective sound system EPS:hopeful it's the 1st good example but BMW is yet to demonstrate adequate abilities in this department. MPG improvement: fantastic Weight reduction: way overdue Headlights and kidney grills: an awful marriage that will hopefully fall in line with the available predictive Analytics and result in a divorce sooner than later! Form over function: certainly will rule the day for me. I'd trade some reliability in exchange for good looks. Hence, this ain't the M for this guy. |

I am glad it does the trick for you. For some of us it's directly opposite, I still think the E46 M3 was the best M3 built

Wow....what a letdown.
The side profile ruins this car - looks like a damn Accord coupe. Rear quarter view is the only place this car looks good.

I was thinking of trading mine in for an M4GC but since they are making the regular series a wagon, I think I'll pass. I am hoping the M2 will be the successor to the E46 M3 CSL but given BMW's attitude lately, I think it is going to end up with a 4 banger. |

The Production version of that color - ie more cost effective is Austin Yellow.
