Stated 0-60 times are just conservative estimates. They've never been close to what magazines test, which are generally a few tenths quicker.

I think this car can easily break 3.7 in 0-60. I saw a lot of reviews of the current M3 doing 4.0s 0-60, that's 0.5s quicker than BMW's time.

That being said, we all need to remember that getting faster is exponentially difficult especially in sub 4.0 seconds.

I like the Logic 7 in my 08 M3. MUCH BETTER THAN THE e46 HK setup!!!!! That was terrible, especially in my convertible.

I should have pushed the button in the M4 in Detroit, but they were nice enough to unlock the door for me and another forum member because we were prior M owners and I was ordering one.

I think he just meant that traction becomes the limiting factor sub-4.0 0-60 times.

So wait... E92m does 0-62 in 4 seconds? No mods? And now the f80m is also at or below 4 seconds? Hmmm ok then so a heavier less torque car does the same time at a light turbo charged car. These forums are just too funny...BMW is a liar :-)

No....

What they are saying is that BMW quoted a 0-60 of like 4.6 for the e9x and it actually tested as low as 4.0.

The f8x is quoted at 4.1 so it could conceivably be expected to be well below 4.0. But as some said , traction is a big problem with that low of times.

The difference should be very substantial from a roll, and also seen in quarter mile trap speeds

M3 and other bmws have almost always run faster times in tests than BMW quoted.

No point was BMW's times are usually 0.3-0.5s slower than the actual times magazines do. So most likely the new car will do a lot quicker.

After spending two years on the 335i forum I think I know everything there is to know about 0-60, 1/4 mile times, 1/4 mile traps, 60' times etc. It gets really obnoxious (but a little educational).

As long as I can remember, 0-60 times from BMW were conservative, generally what you'd get consistently with little or no wheel spin/ launch.

Tired of the "Toyota / GM" package model BMW has gone to. You used to be able to order the car the way you want it.

Now to get 1 thing, you have to ruin your entire car.....ridiculous. Was a huge part of the buying experience and thing that set BMW apart, and something that was another perk and reason to buy a BMW and spend the extra $$$.

Not anymore.....smh

It would seem that way. I believe the back-up camera was packaged on the F30/32's as well.

Not sure why you need rear PDC with the camera? I hate the bumper nipples.

I think they give the bumper character. They integrate really wheel into the bumpers, unlike other PDC systems I've seen.

EDC was a ~$1,000 option on the e90 as well
They are standard here in the UK, its a bit stingy of them to have it standard here then change it for the US like that, its not like you're a little market is it?
