It will all depend on BMW's pricing strategy. I believe MT are grossly overestimating the US price of the M4CS in this review.

I'm not sure what's more nerve wrecking. Driving 190mph or driving through the snowy mountain side on ultra high performance SUMMER tires.

The M4 CS will likely cost around 100k, so it should be compared against a base 911. The 911 GTS is 130k with almost zero equipment. That is the competition to the M4 GTS. |

Aside from power, GTS is also an equipment package which bundles a lot of Porsche's most popular items. I'd probably add a few more things, but I think you could get a base GTS and be happy.

They are comparing 'intention', as in 'this is BMW's raciest car, lets compare it against Porsche's raciest and see what happens'

The 911 GTS is the exact same thing as if BMW didn't stupidly limit CS production and just added an 'extreme competition package'

However, I don’t find the 911GTS and M4CS compete in the same price and performance segment.

This is what the CS is up against. Just may be the best DD 911 ever.

I would go Porsche GTS with the 7-speed manual transmission and not even give it a second thought.

They have the same relevance vs each other as a Mustang (muscle car ) and a Corvette (sports car ) in the United States. Thank god GM didn't kill the Camaro along with the Firebird or we would be enduring those comparisons in Motor trend. |

I think the real question is "how can I get both?"

I did read the thread M3 Adjuster. I was providing an analogy. To put it more clearly, they are comparing cars by intention instead of by price. So the raciest ones get compared, then the N-1's, etc. I did see the results of the M4 GTS vs the 991 GT3 RS and GT3, however, I maintain my position that they are not price comparable and not actually competitors |

I am contemplating both cars so there is some relevancy to this comparison. Good to see that these kind of seemingly unrelated comparisons are being made IN ADDITION to the more straight forward ones previously mentioned in this thread.
