MPG
I've been looking at M4 Competitions for a few weeks, but now my current car is ready to advertise I'm looking forward to stepping up my search.
I'm not really concerned as my mind is already made up, but I'm wondering why I keep seeing a difference in average MPG from dealers. Some advertise 34 MPG, while others 28.2. Any ideas why!? |

So in short 21/22 around town in my M4. It never changed much in over 3 years of wonderful ownership. Out of town on rare occasions if I was taking in very easy 30mpg but more often 25mpg ish. |

Last year when I drove to Spa I was getting about 35mpg!
Around town you'll get sub 20 - and I think I'm averaging 24(ish) - I don't really use my car that much so it is mostly pottering around. I don't really pay too much attention to it to be honest - no one buys a M4 for the MPG!!!

Yeah, low to mid 20's for bimbling about in a half sensible manner.
Driving for sheer enjoyment, well below that & single figures if really pushing. 30+ on a motorway cruise. It's such a flexible engine.
