Wow the finished installed product looks fantastic. Very nice. You need the iND blue start button and blue M1/M2 buttons now.

It's the factory light under needle get through the edge of overlay caused the blue light (or whatever colour you have)

I actually have both the red and the blue
I switch back and forth, but feel the red seems to go better with the steering wheel buttons

How does it look in person? Does it look aftermarket? Can you see the glossy finish of the vinyl?

Yes it does look Aftermarket. Unless BMW starts pushing these out, which won't happen seeing the new clusters being electronic, it will always have the feel and look of an add on. The blue I have is actually more a matte finish. I personally like it, but i would understand why many wouldn't.

Just installed mine
Not hard at all make sure you're battery is off through the entire process
Just got the 3D shifter paddles from another fellow forumer but they're getting repainted soon.
That's why it's off color I know someone will ask

Shout out to Raphael from EuroCustomsPR who helped me out with install

Did you have to take off steering wheel to install? Also how is it backlit... do you have to make sure the numbers and everything line up to original?

You don't have to take of steering wheel
Just pull it towards you and down as far as possible then take out the two screws holding the instrument cluster. Disconnect cables and you're good to go. The numbers have to be lined up perfectly or you will get a hazy appearance with the numbers
It comes with installation instructions so you should be good
Illumination is much dimmer than stock but shouldn't be too bad if you line up all the numbers nicely

Hmmm.... How much dimmer? How forgiving is it And how accurately do the numbers line up?

Feasibility of having the KPH listed on there as well (as it used to be on the E9X)?

I asked them but seemed like they have no intention of producing it which is a bit odd considering there's a market out there.

I did find this however:
https://www.heiler-tachodesign.de/Sp...016-Mph-to-Kmh

It appears that you can really customize your gauges but they wouldn't response to my 2 emails that I sent months ago so I'm hesitant to make a purchase. Anyone tried them before?
