Saw this color talked about on F10 forum. They had the price pegged at about 8k euro so anywhere from 8-12k USD. Paint process is crazy. Check this video out.

I'm sure David can find out more accurate info.

No, it is available in other regions too. A US M5 is delivered soon in this paint.

Last I heard, it was projected to be listed at around $9k-10k. I've heard it's stunning seeing it in person, in the metal.

Looks like silver paint in the video...

How is that possibly the most expensive paint option? I can get that color on a Toyota Corolla for free Maybe you have to see it to appreciate it but, even then, it's just silver people!! At least do something that doesn't disappear in traffic with every other car.

I really like Moonstone but it photographs like shit - when you see it in person it's totally different. People kept trying to reach out and touch it ... it's silver or gold or matte white or all of them at the same time. The paint looks like it's shifting colors if you watch it in shadowed light. It's definitely not a sport color though ... and it looks much better on the M4 than the M5 due to the lines of the M4.

Anyway, I bet this silver color has that liquid depth effect - and if it does, it would look awesome on an M4. Prior to seeing moonstone I wouldn't have even considered something like this but now ... I think I'd go for it.

There are 2 "liquid metal" finishes available on the porsche 918 that are $65k options. SIXTY FIVE THOUSAND US DOLLARS! For paint!! With those two hues, the metallic flakes in the paint are arranged in the same direction, giving the car a mercury-like finish.

But it's true that is all relative.

Listed at around $9,000 here on a 5 Series.
Only seen the samples but pictured do not capture the color at all.

I recall that @biglare had posted a PDF with every known individual colour in it, and the 'pure silver' one was pretty WOWZA.

But now I cant find that pdf (and the link to the thread I thought it was no longer works.....)

Anyway, you are right - this video doesn't do the colour justice at all.

Yes, you are correct the Pure Metal Silver was in that PDF. I was asked to remove the PDF and link. Here is page for Pure Metal Silver.

You will need to contact your regional ///M Rep for details and cost. It may not be available for all BMW Models, but then again most anything is available for a certain price.

I have seen in person Pure Metal Silver on the Canadian launch edition M6GC. It is not a "regular" silver. Hard to explain but you have to see it to appreciate it. Is it worth $15K (apparently that's how much it cost in Canada) I personally do not think any paint color should cost extra but to each their own.
