XGPS150A Mounting in Cup Holder?

Doing a full sunup to sundown track day at Willow Springs so I ordered a XGPS150A. It's only got a 8.5hr battery life so I want to leave it plugged in the center console cup holder. Anyone have issues leaving it there and still getting signal? Dash is is ideal, but I'd like to not have it fall under the brake pedal.

I've used the 150A, the rubber base is good enough at holding the device on the center speaker on the dashboard.

I wouldn't recommend the cupholder, as it doesn't have a clear LoS to the sky.

Also, make sure to download the Dual GPS app to make sure it's running at 5Hz.

I zip tie it to the extra seatbelt in the back window sill. I use a portable charger in between runs if it gets low.

Jmg, use a zip tie around the receiver and hook it to an air vent by the windshield and snake the charger cable to the 12V

I have the 160 and put a small piece of 3M tape on the bottom of it and stick it directly on the dash next to the center screen. Works perfect every time, doesn't damage the dash, and allows for a USB cable to reach when charging is required.
