I would have to disagree. I bought a set of Stoptech ST60/40 for my E9X and refinished them in VHT high temp red/clear, and they held up beautifully over the course of two track days and two autocrosses. If that paint held up to that, street driving will never get your brakes even 1/2 as hot.

I don't know if Brembo has changed their process but I spoke to a tech there many years ago who told me they do not powdercoat their calipers to keep the integrity of all metals.
In any case, mine came out perfect. Have stayed perfect, zero issues. Had a body shop do them. I would do it again. I've had another set of calipers powdercoated and the whole process took forever. More resistant and "better" but I'm very happy with my painted calipers.
