Same here, got my booster last Wednesday. My 11 year old got her first shot this morning, which is awesome because we are headed into hockey tournament/game season.

Yeah, funny you mention that - I had no side effects (maybe very slight) from the first two shots, and both were so light I was mildly worried I might not have even gotten them ... but this one (a.) was a decent stab, and (b.) my shoulder still hurts.

Also, last night, my vision had this weird effect I've had in the long-ago past from recreational drugs. Went away after a few hours ...

And the lady RxD that gave us our injections was pretty awesome - brought us into a private room and went over everything in detail including dosage amounts, her experiences overall, what she's heard about 3rd shot side effects, etc ... anyway, she did say that many people who didn't get side effects from the first two got them from #3 (I'm talking Pfizer which is a full 3rd shot vs Moderna which isn't).

It's surprising, especially given supply, it's not simply advised to everyone, but I think there are some politics there.

I'm pretty much freaking out since I'm the food hub for the elderly around here and our family will be a tracking nightmare now. Though all allowed members of the hub have been fully vaccinated, some even got their third shots now and I've only touched their supplies with a mask and gloves on, tonight this is crushing.

I'm not worried about my son just now, his symptoms are of a mild cold. I'm just so fucking pissed with all adults who haven't bothered taking a shot for any idiotic reason they see as a product of their research. Not happy with the gov either, the girls have had their shots so they have to be sent to school according to the guidelines.

Not sure how distant families are, but I'm pretty sure my girls are covered as spreaders in any closed space like a school even while wearing masks and vaccinated. I pulled them out for tomorrow to get clarification on the rules and they can all suck it if they try to complain about it.

My father-in-law and aunt are cancer patients atm. All old, all vaccinated. They matter to my kids a lot and to me too. I'm willing to believe others have people with compromised systems around them too and this fuckup has been around for two fucking years, can't we just act like adults for a sec!?!

I charge my kids 10 cents per day each they watch TV or use a computer. They make money for doing well in their exams and then I claw the losses back by using my superiority against them (age, I'm old enough to subscribe shit).

I'd love to be magnetic, but I think it's the math. The real science folks know to keep away, yet I can basically get away with not being very smart by using those strong words, numbers.

Don't share this dating advice with your kids. Seriously, don't. If you do, you'll be basically stuck with my offspring as your producers of grandkids.

Personally, I am worried about boosters, I think at this point it could be just the worst version of the flu for a good long time.

That is why I am so surprised so many of my friends and family are getting... er kids. My best friend did, a good chunk of my cousins and elder cousins did. Not sure if this is exactly the right time for it tbh.

Completely in agreement here. I pray and hope it's just a scare and nothing comes out of it in the end. My mom has been pretty much limited to her home most of the past 2 years just because of this possible scenario, the same with my uncles and aunts.

I really think at times to myself, that we are seeing the dissolution of societal norms and our civilization. These 2 years, actually the past 5, have seen the deterioration of trust across the world and in societies. I'm desperately thinking of how this will reverse but haven't come to any solution that doesn't involve some global catastrophe. We are so divided, so intolerant that no willingness to work for the common good seems to exist or able to bring everyone together.

Sometimes, I think we here on the boards are so shallow to just fixate on stupid cars and mods when underneath us, darker forces are stirring and that someday soon, cars will be last thing on our minds. But then I realize that for some of us, this is an escape from the reality that is swirling around us.
