+1 due the effort but I have my doubts that will hold.

Your cabinet test does not take in to account the vibration and g forces that your rig will be subjected to. Further, with that gimbal you have now introduced a leverage force on the suction cups, especially during hard braking and acceleration.

I just purchased a Toyota Tacoma which amazingly has a factory GoPro mount on the windshield beside the interior mirror. It is small, stealthy and discreet. Could probably mount one front and rear. Anyone know if it is an available GoPro or OEM Toyota part? It is designed for off road 4x4 abuse so it must be pretty secure.

You might be right, but these are pretty seriously strong when attached. I couldn't pull em' off if I tried. (From the cabinet)

I bet they're strong enough, but the problem is gonna be the vibration through the system. Your camera/mounting structure is going to introduce/magnify small vibrations. Let's see some test videos tho

I use harry's laptimer with multicam support. I am planning to put the gopro on the rear windshield via the 3M sticker mount for driver seat view and cellphone on the front windshield for road view.
