Steering Wheel Vibrations on DCT M3
Morning everyone.
Have a 2017 M3 with DCT. Have been noticing a wheel vibration. This vibration occurs when I am in manual mode, in 4th gear. If I let the car engine-brake in 4th gear to 3k RPM, then pin the throttle staying in 4th gear, I feel a distinct vibration once the RPMS get to about 3,700 thru 4,100. I can make this happen in other gears; 3rd and 5th at various RPM levels. do not think tires are out of balance as I can cruse at a high speed with no vibrations. Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks for your help forum. |

Make sure you don't have any of the nannies for lane departure etc activated.
If you are sure it's not the tires (which is most noticeable 90km/hr -115km/hr) then check with the dealer. Its electric steering and could be multitude of issues but could be sometimes fixed with simple software update.

Same year DCT here. I have a bit of a vibration in mine as well around same speeds. I was just thinking tires or something but not so sure. It's not enough to really even cause concern except that it's there..
