Ignition coil question

I need to change ignition coils and spark plugs and I was wondering if people had any experience with higher priced ignition coil packs.

There are quite a few, and they range in price quite a bit.

The engine is not tuned, and I don't plan on tuning it.

Many Thanks!

Buy it once from fcp euro and never have to worry about it again due to lifetime replacement.

OE ignition coils are just fine. No need to spend more money here. My logs are perfect with OE coils and NGK flex fuel F8S plugs running full E85 so coils are not an issue on this platform

The Eldor S55 ignition coils are better than the OEM, but the B58 eldor coils are even better than that!

The Delphi OEM coils are good for about 100K lifespan and up to very high horsepower. I usually buy the Delphi brand instead of the higher priced OEM (still Delphi).

I tried BavAuto and they sucked, one bad right out of the box. Another guy here somewhere tested the IP and they are stock rebranded with a red tab and a new flip top.

chetrickerman can you chime in with a correct Eldor coil part# for S55? I see Eldor on FCP for $ similar to Delphi. These might make sense for my built motor. [NOTE: the ELD part number (removed) is NOT the right ones for S55]

I ended up going with OEM coils after all per the local race shop recommendation.
