[QUOTE=Monkey Throttle;28066681]That's great, and I'm sure you're getting much more enjoyment out of your cars than I ever will out of mine and that's what matters the most.

I was considering a new M340 when I bought my 2018 M3 in November 2020. I never test drove one but the weight (3800lbs) and appearance were the deciding factors for me going with the F80. Also, the M340i is totally under-tired for a call of that weight and power. I am sure it a "nicer" daily driver than my M3 but now that I did the CS/GTS coding my M3 is pretty nice on comfort setting.

I don't give a flying toss what's faster. The M car(s) have always been the total package. It's about how it feels, how it handles and how it accelerates. Sure there are faster cars out there, but would you rather be driving them just for 1/4 mile times? No.

The M340 turned out to be a nice commuter, but that's it. The weight and the looks were too much of a turnoff when I personally was looking for a toy. (I don't commute, and so my drives are to run errands/kid stuff or to play around on the back roads) |

M340i is a spectacular car that b58 is really no joke. I do think a stage 1 tuned m4 would walk tf out of a stock 340i though but thats just a guess

Stock for Stock or Tune for Tune on stock hardware, S55 is coming out on top every time. B58 is a really great motor but is way overhyped. Lots of people on the internet making ridiculous claims about B58 and downplaying what is needed to put out those ridiculous power levels. Also, B58 isn't attached to a transmission that is meant to handle higher power loads which I feel like not enough people recognize.

Oh yea no question. Im stomping out mfs with stage 2+ 335i's and Im running a stock s55 lol, I cant imagine if I did an mhd flash tune or something and gained +50whp and +100wt from software overnight. Be lights out to those fools even harder but those b58s are still putting down decent power and probably scare tf out of the s5/c43 amg boys whenever they see them pull up behind
