Old member back after 7.5 years!
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to reintroduce myself. I used to be a big BMW guy and member of the e90 boards, but lost my way back in 2014. I had a few 3 series (e30, e46, two e90s), then had mostly VW/Audi/Porsche cars, and most recently a focus RS. After my new golf r order kept getting delayed, I decided to move on to something different. Explored all the usual subjects: -m2 was too small for a new dad with baby -Alfa giulia qf was beautiful but I couldn’t trust the car’s reliability -MB C63 was scratched from the list after a couple awful dealer experiences -Audi S4/5 was something I previously had and didn’t feel “special” enough -X3M my wife convinced me I should stick with a sedan “while I can” for the occasional HPDE day -Audi RS3 was another top choice but I missed out on one and the value didn’t seem good I was browsing carvana one morning a couple of weeks ago and this f80 came up at a great price. A 2017 29k mile mineral grey comp with DCT (I was honestly open to either trans option), sunroof (pretty important to me after living with a slicktop for over two years), and exec package. The only thing i wish it had was CF trim instead of the ash wood trim. Service history seemed very good, and the condition of the car is beautiful. It goes in for its PPI tomorrow at a reputable shop in the DC area, RRT. I’m looking forward to being a part of this community with all of you.

Can't say I've seen one with the wood trim option. Literally everyone I've seen has CF. Can you post some photos? You can always switch it if it bothers you obviously

Great looking car! +1 for the wood trim it must of been ordered that way as the CF trim inside is standard?

As promised, here’s the interior photo with the trim. It was on the Monroney label so clearly specd that way from factory. Pardon the hazy finish and smudging I have no idea what they wiped it down with and haven’t had a chance to clean it up.

Clean bill of health from the shop that did the PPI, so she’s here to stay! The only thing they told me is that the battery is original, so I should plan accordingly to replace it over the next couple of years. Everything else checked out. The car is well serviced, has all original paint, brakes/tires have plenty of life, everything works as it should, no leaks, etc. I plan to do a few small exterior cosmetic mods (painted reflectors, some carbon fiber bits), but the plan is to keep the car mostly stock. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Great choice. My 2017 MG over SO interior was my favorite daily driver. Kids love the back heated seats.
