2019 F82 M4 Failed "BMW Test Plan"
Hi All,
Took my car in for service because my backup camera screen turns black sometimes while reversing. The dealership tried to run a "BMW Test Plan" and it failed to connect. The car is coded with Bimmercode. I'm not sure what's going on. I can't restore my backups on Bimmercode because I coded the car on my old phone and I recently got a new phone so all my backups are gone. The dealership doesn't want to do a second attempt because they are worried it might flag at BMWNA. Is using ISTA the only way to revert back to stock? Anyone have experience with "BMW Test Plan" is?

Was told that if they ran a second check and if it failed, it would flag the car at BMW for warranty concerns regarding "programming".

Have you tried using bimmercode without restoring the backup? Maybe you can double check the distance and speed settings on the rear view camera to see if something helps.

I’m more concerned that if I had future issues, I won’t be able to get this covered under warranty. |

Just wanted to put a conclusion to this, with the help of @kubax86 we were able to find out that the issue is with the dealership equipment and not with the car. We were able to run ISTA fine and no trouble codes found.

Did you let the dealer know? It's a sad state when the dealer equipment has an issue. You'd think they'd have the best of the best.

What is that? Kubax86 and I looked through all of the ECUs and there was no errors on ISTA+, everything is green.
