Isn't the 2016 M4 production ends in March 2016? Which could mean 2017 M4 LCI starts in April 2017.

Its expected about September 2016, just after the German August factory holidays.

Thanks... I confused the 440i introduction on 03/16 with the end of the MY2016 for the M4 as well.

No, the March (actually February - I was off a month in my earlier post) 2016 end date for MY2016 only applies to 435i models (which will change to 440i at that time). The M4 and 428i models continue as MY2016 until June 2016.

M4 LCI will come with the 4 Series LCI 3.5 years after the debut of the 4 Series, which was mid-late 2013. So, that puts it at very early 2017. Whether that turns out to be a mid MY2017 release or an early start to MY2018 is anyone's guess at this point.

It's a moot point for me. I never really looked at it from a 2015 vs 2016 perspective. I'm not ordering until later this year anyway. I always knew I was getting a 2016 regardless. I am not waiting because of the LCI. I am simply waiting for my current lease to expire. If my lease expired sooner, I would have jumped all over a 2015 model.

In terms of the LCI, I'm not disappointed. It's pretty much what I expected it to be. We all knew the tail lights were changing, and I expected iDrive updates as well. The thing I didn't expect were things like making HK and comfort access standard. That's a plus to me, because I was going to order the Executive Package anyway. I am eager to see what the base MSRP increase will be, but I don't think it will be that dramatic simply because of the competition (i.e., C63 AMG).

is it me, or did the taillight pattern from the (relatively old*) F01 simply trickle down?

*Fully aware that LEDs have been around since the E46.

Yea most likely.

I think the 7 is always the pioneer for new designs (especially lights)

Then they trickle down to the other models as the next generations are released.

Order banks are open to dealer, pricing is still blocked. Should be open by midweek next week.

Didn't Scott say a while back there was supposed to be some official info released during the M festival ? It's going on this weekend so hopefully more insight into packages and pricing soon

+1 I thought so, too. The comp. pack was supposedly to be introduced/ at least discussed.

I agree the color looks different than YMB. IMO it looks quite good. Would be nice if this were a standard color.
