Pushing the radio volume button in mutes the volume. I guess that is easier than turning it to the left while touching it, lol.

Does it mute it or turn the radio off? Perhaps not much difference

Tried launch control once... it was very dramatic across one of the busiest intersections in the USA (sepulveda and wilshire)... I didn't go fast. I made lots of noise. Felt like I could have lost control, glad I didn't. Never been someplace that seemed safe enough to try again and lower the rpms.

the passenger mirror drop was killing my ability to reverse into a spot. i coded it to not drop as far down.

If you switch the mirror adjustment lever to the right (as if you were going to adjust the passenger mirror) the mirror will not move when you shift into reverse.

i am aware of this but still need the tilt feature in my lot. it's just that from my E90 M3 to my F80 there is a huge difference in tilt, so much so that i find it useless.

Volume Bar

I don't think this has been covered here???? Is there anyway to remove the volume bar when adjusting the sound levels?

Are you talking about making the side bolsters narrower and wider?

There is a running gag on the forum that the ZCP seats have lumbar support but it's not adjustable hence should it be considered lumbar support, the holes in the seat are gimmicky, people just being jealous of not getting ZCP etc

+1

I have the convertible M4 so I still have the adjustable lumbar support with my competition pack but I sat in my friend's M4 ZCP the other day and those seats are awesome. You sit very snug and tight, I actually kinda felt comfortable in them.

speaking of which, I have my adjustable lumbar support but I never play with it. The default setting is perfect, if I make it more, it just kinda annoys me after a while I feel like I'm sitting against something that's constantly poking me and I'm a thin guy you can say, only weight bout 80Kgs

When down shifting with DCT, that it really doesn’t slow the car down.

It definitely slows the car down. It might take a bit more time/distance because of the rev match, but downshifting with DCT will certainly slow the car down.

Agreed. It's much less of an impact compared to a MT but it does happen. I was equally as surprised as the guy/gal above though until I did some reading and realized I've just never been good at rev matching in a manual (have never driven one full time).

I rarely use this feature, but today I parked in a tight space and folded the side mirrors in only to realize that they only fold in slightly instead of perfectly flat like most cars. Kind of makes the feature useless.
