LOL. I did, but after letting everything sink in for a bit, I think I'm going to hold onto it and use the M3 as the back-up.

Having said that, just picked up a set of KW V3's and some camber plates for the M3. Should be a little bit stickier next time around!

I can already predict the old Z06’s future

Equalled, to the 100th of a second, my previous best time at LRP, although had a best rolling lap in the mid 0.59s. Was a cool day, perfect for setting good lap times. Unfortunately, my front brake pads were getting paper thin, prohibiting my pushing any further.

Limerock Park - 0:59.94 Dvas 2017 M2 6spd (NT01, PFC08, Bilstein B16 PSS10, GC Camber Plates)

Best lap starts at 4:10 in the video.

VIR Full Course - 2:25.48 JeffB-M3 2017 M3 6MT (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 on 18s, EBC Yellows, Eibach v1)

First time at VIR and 2nd time on a track. Luckily I was there with a friend that's a track club member so they let us go out front of the lead-follow pack of cars for clean running. Used the M Laptimer to capture times. The Pilot A/S 3s performed and held up a ton better than expected. Weather was super: upper 50s in the morning and low 70s in the afternoon.

So fun!!!!

Can't believe they gave you a black flag for that. You should've been given a gold star flag.

Limerock seems like such a fun track! Not too long and complicated, yet still lots of nuance to keep drivers on their toes! Hopefully when this pandemic BS it over I can fly out there and rent a track car (F80 god willing) and try it out.

Can't believe that got a black flag.

It's like the biggest autocross course in the world. Easy to learn, and impossible to master. i've never had a lap where I thought "I nailed it".

Sharing 2 videos here. First time with VBOX so excuse the 4:3 screen ratio. Also, very proud of my wife. Although her overall time is 4 seconds slower, her entry speeds are slightly quicker because she uses quite a bit more trail brake than I do. This is not my primary track car, it's hers. I drive an e36 M3 on track. Race lines are absolutely identical except in turn 10.

Her video with 2:26.11 with a missed braking point in Turn 10. Student in right seat. She opens her visor to check tire temps but they were ok. We think the Toyo's were starting to give up with over 20 heat cycles.

My video at 2:21.98. I can't make the turn at Turn 10 in this car. She is sitting in the right seat. Her turn in point is one colored curb section later than mine and the VBOX trace shows this.

First P1 with GridLife! Coby didn't show up in his Camaro (He did SCCA TT Nats last weekend) and Chris was running his ZL1 1LE in Unlimited instead of the C7GS (He had 2nd locked up in StreetGT). Still had to fight off Jackie Ding's team with an M4 customer car in P2 (1:39.4) and their lesser Supra in P3 (1:39.6). Was hoping to get a little closer to Coby's Lap Record of 1:37.7 but couldn't put it together on the RS4's.

The SC3's were gone because my 19x10.5" Rays Wheels no longer fit over my SPOILER ALERT CCB M2C rotor conversion and they are too big for my 19x10" Konigs. The RS4's were on sale and I pulled the trigger for science haha. I would run the hell out of the RS4 for HPDE though, they look brand new still but they just don't have the absolute grip needed for Time Attack. Hopefully the Advan and Falken come out in big 19" sizes for next year and we can find some more pace!

Very cool, and nice that you got to compete against another M instead of just Americans.

Ran the RS4's for 1 day and found them apparently indestructible as well. Like zero wear.

wasn't the 1LE down in the low 37s? Or was that outside of competition?

Yeah you're right he was down to a 1:37.313 at one point. That might have been on the Kumho ACR tire and he might have made them use his time on the lap record page from the A052 though haha.

We're going to get down there next season though!!!

That would be awesome to see. Think it would take finding the stickiest rubber allowed and a few more go fast mods, if you have any left in the toolbox. ?

Too bad you aren't running Solo 2, could go full nerd and exchange telemetry for some ideas as well.

Track: Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport)

Personal best (at Lap #44): 1:34:83

Too much traffic on the day and this was like the only lap I had a clear track with, although my best sector 1 of the day was actually 1 whole sec faster which means theoretically i could have dived below 1:34...and I'm sure there are many areas I could have done better, maybe next year!

M3 F80 Competition Package (6-speed):
CCB
M Performance Exhaust
KW Clubsport 2-Way
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2
F: 265/35-19 (2nd track day)
R: 285/30-20 (5th track day)
