M Performance Exhaust or Pass?

My car is scheduled to arrive in New York on 4/23. After attending the BMW UDE Event in New Jersey the other day, I got to hear a bunch of M4s with the M Performance Exhaust. I was speaking with my CA and he informed me that it wasn't too late to add this to my car. I don't really know what to do. I'm sorta torn. It's going to be a lease and I don't typically keep my cars for more than 15-18 months. I plan to go the swapalease route with this one also in the future. So that being said, would you spring for the MPE or pass on it? I think it is residualized so it would only add about $60 more per month I think. I'm waiting to hear the actual amount when my sales advisor calls me back. What do you guys think? Anyone have it and swear by it? Or have it and think it's just "meh?" Any advice you guys have would be greatly appreciated as I probably have to make this decision within the next day or so...

I went to MetLife to hear the MPE myself and while it sounded good I don't know how thrilled I am with the cost. I'm planning to go non-OEM after getting the car if not thrilled with factory sound after driving it a few weeks. I figure any aftermarket exhaust can easily get removed and sold at lease end, or transferred if next one is an F80 as well.

Currently my front runner is the AWE Switchpath. I am trying to schedule a visit to their PA site to hear it in person - that might seal the deal for me. It seems to have removed most of the rasp, if not all of it. All comes down to individual taste though - if you love the MPE sound, go for it!

i wouldn't. But I'm not a big fan of the car's sound anyway. I just don't think the benefits outweigh the costs.

You can residualize 1000 dollars when you install the exhaust from the get-go. That's what I did when I bought my F80.

I hated the MPE until I heard it in person. Then my opinion totally changed. The MPE with valves always open is awesome! It wakes the dead in the mornings but boy does it sound mean. It's on the quiet side inside the cabin with windows up but driving behind the car, is pretty damn loud. I really enjoy it and am glad I went this route.
