I decided to make my own tri-color roof stripes

Saw the ones that were available but thought they were too thin (looked like each color was less than an inch) and too expensive imo. I bought a bunch of vinyl rolls and made my own in various thicknesses with the help of my buddies clear bra shop and they came out perfect.

How much of a PITA was it to line up correctly/evenly?

Edit - Doh never mind I see your friend from clear bra shop did it.

No I was there the whole time and helped. Super easy. The hardest part was makin up my mind where exactly I wanted them placed. Just use mix of a few drops of baby shampoo and water in a spray bottle on roof and stripes to place them at first so you can slide them around to see exactly where you liked them. Then use solution of alcohol and water in spray bottle to lay them down. With rubber squeegee, squeegee water out.

i can't take credit for the idea as it wasn't mine but i think the thicker stripes look way better.

We finally got a little sun here. Got some pics outside. It seems a little darker than the originals (made by other company in post #3). Deciding if I like this or should I try and find lighter/more transparent film.

These look great. How much are you selling these for again? I thought I saw a thread in the classified section for these. Wider definitely looks better. Are they pretty thin? One of the things I didn't care for about the other ones was the apparent thickness of millage. I would want them as thin as possible IMO.

I like the way you can see the carbon roof through the vinyl colours.... But not sure I could live with these stripes personally... Can you get them in a more subtle and fainter colour? Not for me though. The kid in me likes them but I would get ribbed for having them on my car .
