CS/GTS Hood deformed. Can this be bent back?
The gap between my CS hood and the front bumper is uneven despite a few shop's attempts to fix it by adjusting the latches, bump stops and bumper itself. No dice. The only other conclusion we came up with is that the hood is slightly bent from an improper closure where someone attempted to close the hood, it did not latch, so they violently pressed hard in the middle to engage the latches not knowing it was a CFRP hood.
Has anyone had any success heat reforming the hood slightly? I do not want to replace and repaint this hood as it is $$ but at the same time the fender gap is annoying and it's all I can see now.

That's what I thought... but it is CFRP, not just CF, and I'm no material expert so I'm throwing it out there. I'm wondering if the bumper is off?

i just spent some time looking at CS photos.
It looks like your gap is slightly worse, but not by much. Looks like allot of the CS models the hood gap narrows in the middle like yours The only photos that show a perfect gap are the official BMW photos |

I checked some older photos of my car and the gap was perfect. Something has happened since.

Yea, try adjusting the bumper. Remove weather stripping piece and loosen the torx bolts. Is the gap between the bumper and hood consistent from left to right?

It's all those heat cycles at the track I'll swap you for an aluminum one. Problem solved!

It's more often the bumper and not the hood

Went to a Home Depot for some plants and picked up a handful of washers while I was at it. Got it to 95% looking decent. Going back for more washers to finish it off. Not bad for $0.15 a pop.

Two outer tox screws on top of the headlight area. Two washers in each under the bumper. I think I need one more each to make it closer to perfect. I also adjusted the latches and bump stops to make it even.
