Oil Drain Plug Kits?

Been doing research on oil drain kits to make the process easier but $150 on the AGA hose kit seems pretty steep but I did find a potential solution on Amazon for $50. Can't really tell how the clearance is and I've searched the forum with no results on this item.

Curious if anyone has tried this or any other solutions other than AGA? I know Kies tried the fumamoto but it ended up shearing off so that's a no go.

AGA is tried and tested. Amazon may be cheaper, but you get what you pay for. I wouldn't cheap out on such a simple/important piece. S55 engines are expensive if u had to replace due to some kind of failure ...better yet, just leave the drain plug as it is and invest in a good floor jack and jack stands...

Femco and Stahlbus are some other options. I have a Femco compact valve that I'd be installing the next time I do an oil change. I chose Femco over Stahlbus since it's a little bit lower profile.

This was my attitude so recently installed the AGA one, the price is a bit annoying though for sure. Plus it's got that clever side-hole design to facilitate more complete drainage.

I have good equipment and I'm all for buying quality but $150 to save me some drips of oil and torqueing on a $1 bolt twice a year isn't worth it. Not sure why it seems so unreasonable to ask about a cheaper alternative.

Here is a list from my notes. I didn't get one because of clearance concerns and metal compatibility (I have a magnesium pan).

I was also planning to add a cover plate over the drain plug opening on the skid plate with a piece of metal for additional protection, in case I did get one.

Code:
femco compact sb m12x1.5-t12
looks low profile. 12mm height. brass.
stahlbus m12x1.5x12mm, steel
steel, depth is 22mm with cap, 21mm without cap. inside depth 12mm
fumoto f-139
        brass
ezoil ez109
nickel-plated brass, 29mm depth, fumoto style.
aga clean oil drain plug
silver colored, $99, 4.5mm stock head, depth 10mm.
And above is for early 2015 with the magnesium pan. Your aluminum pan may use a different size.
