I wouldn't worry about it unless you are having issues starting. Or any shop with proper equipment can perform a load test for you.

Tom, my M6 is pushing 700+ hp. Do i need the 80AH or will the 60AH suffice?

HP has no effect on CCA. 60Ah would be fine, 80Ah would be better.

Looks like this battery weighs significantly less than oem for f8x. Is the capacity similar? Looks like I need a new battery as I have been getting some low voltage codes and the control unit opened the protection relay. Jump restarted and is still ok at the moment.

Can you point to the specific battery to order for m4 and current pricing?

Thank you.

OEM batteries are overspec for US climate, much more suited for German winters - which is good as it gives us some wiggle room.

Can't post links in this section, sending via PM.

Coding with bimmercode shows the battery type setting and bimmerlink says successful but when checking with ISTA, the battery type is not correct. Shows the mileage for battery registration but the AH is off.

Have you guys checked this?

We use Autologic for coding, but there might be a way to change battery type in eSys. You'll need to contact the Bimmercode developers to issue a support ticket.

Have tried esys as well. It shows the AH but Ista registration shows it's not correct. Have you double checked your Autologic with ISTA?

After installation is completed, the battery needs to be registered like OEM using AGM/LiFePO4 profiles either through ISTA, your favorite 3rd party device (Bimmercode/Bimmerlink), or BMW independent shop. For the H8-60-RS, choose 70Ah AGM setting while H8-80-RS will require the 80Ah AGM setting. This can be done at your local dealership or independent or as we'll describe shortly - at home using your iPhone.

IMPORTANT: Do not skip these steps or it can damage your battery long term. For the DIY user, you will need the following iOS apps and OBD reader:

Bimmerlink
https://www.bimmerlink.app

Bimmercode
https://bimmercode.app

Veepeak OBDCheck BLE OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner
https://www.amazon.com/Veepeak-OBDCh.../dp/B073XKQQQW

Bimmercode - Select vehicle and go into Front Electronic Module (FEM_01), select "Battery Type"

Bimmercode - Change battery type to "70 Ah AGM"

Bimmerlink - Select 12 V Battery

Bimmerlink - Select "Register New Battery"

Bimmerlink - Select "Same Capacity and Type"

Bimmerlink - Select "ok"

Bimmerlink - Battery registered successfully - you're done!

Job complete! Enjoy your new battery. If you have any questions, please ask in the thread or PM.
So what if you are putting in a new stock battery, Is it still going to be coded using "70 AH AGM" or is the stock just going to be "70 Ah"

If you're simply replacing a stock battery, battery type does not need to be changed - only registered.

Do you happen to have the part number for the cable so I can go ahead and get one?

On Coding (Bimmercode) a replaced OEM battery (70AH lithium) it showed "Unspecified" but I set it to 70AH, should I put it back to "Unspecified"
or should I put it like the Antigravity one to 70AH AGM?

Thanks

Are you installing an OEM battery or Antigravity?

Shouldn't be using Bimmercode as this is for changing the battery type. Use Bimmerlink to register an exact replacement battery.

OEM batteries are 69Ah.

Best to email the app owner for support since you had an odd reading, as this thread is primarily for Antigravity swaps.
