Here's a good pic my friend just sent me from the UK launch event showing the black wheels and SS interior contrasts quite well. Enjoy!

Do you know which dealer?
I'm in the UK and quite keen to see a SSII M4 to check I made the right choice.

+1. That looks sinister on the M4 and confirms my choice of SS over black. Just waiting to go into production

Ditto. I personally like the muscularity and stance of the M3 much more than the M4. Convenient considering I need 4 doors, and I think the color combo is going to accentuate everything that is amazing about the M3. Again though, there are no bad color choices right now. Everyone should be very happy with their color.

Agree, I find the M3 appealing in all color combinations and the hard part is only to decide what suits each individual as everyone comes at it from a different perspective. daily driver, weekend warrior, family sedan, rally or track car. I could go on but SS over black M3 loaded lets me be all of the above!

Exactly my rationale. Perhaps it's rationalization, but it works for me.

From the other thread...

Very close to my build.

Silverstone exterior
Extended silverstone interior
CF roof
CF trim
Standard brakes
DCT
LED headlights

One big difference, I took the black wheels.

Gorgeous! That's my car! I actually prefer the silver/gray rims. The black are hot too, but make the wheels appear smaller?
You skip M-Adaptive? I actually don't miss it.

I keep going back and forth between the silver and black wheels. I struggle to make up my mind . Both look great, but very different. IMO, the silver look more elegant and classy while the black are more sporty and sinister. I just recently switched my order officially back to black after seeing a AW M4 with the black wheels at my dealer. IMO, the black wheels seem to make the wheel gap look smaller. I am planning to install the MPerformance CF rear diffuser and mirror caps, that should give a nice contrasting touch.

Good catch on the EDC. I did not even notice the blanked out button. No, I ordered EDC. The roads are so bad here in Montreal, I could not go without it. I loved EDC on my E92. IMO, it emphasizes the Jekyll & Hyde aspect of the M3/4, comfy for the DD and solid at the track.

I agree with you on the wheels. I think you can't go wrong with either. I just love the five spoke contrast with the rotors and feel the black kind of hides that contrast a little bit and blends in with the tires more.

Smart On EDC , I would've preferred it but couldn't pass up this deal, plus some who have gone passive seem to love it and the enthusiasts think it could be just as good on the track. I agree it's nice to have options though. Even if it does add a little more weight, ha ha.

Glad you like my pic! I actually framed it near the Merc to show the contrast to a true blue car. The color really seems adaptive though.

Thanks a bunch!
I'm actually still warming up to Silverstone so I appreciate your enthusiasm and support! I wasn't sure I liked the blue hue in some light, but the more I see it, it is unique and special.
