Proof that the F8X is a small vehicle

Proof that the F8X chassis is a lot smaller than you think. I didn't even have to tuck the mirrors.

It was the only spot in the parking lot. I was a bit skeptical about parking there when I saw "Compact", but thought I'd give it a try. Turns out there was plenty of room on both sides of the vehicle after parking. Still tucked the mirrors before walking away. The OCD in me couldn't step away without doing it.

Can't imagine what an M2 in the same parking spot would look like.

I guess that makes sense, in a parking lot full of trucks and suv's ya it would be seem to be a compact.

Let's not kid ourselves, the F8X is still a sizable car. There are some compact spots I've seen where you can barely open the doors. My guess is that certain corner spots favor smaller cars rather than larger trucks/SUVs and are labeled accordingly.

In L.A. a "compact" parking spot that size is a unicorn.
You just wanted a reason to show off the LSB didn't you?
Looks fantastic BTW.

Lol, this is great. Your car is gorgeous And on the plus side, the smaller the car the less room you take up, and ultimately the less idiots and door dings you have to worry about

that parking space is not compact and the F8X is pretty wide with mirrors on .. significant difference from my Audi S4 and feels lot bigger.

Wait till u try and park in real compact spaces and its sure to get dinged

Let's not get too serious. Anyone who has driven an M before know's the spot in the photo is far larger than most compact parking spots. I was just having a little fun with the fellow M community.

Having owned an Evo 8, I'm pretty familiar with compact cars. The Evo 8 is a car you can fit/park anywhere.

Believe me, I tried. During my Euro Delivery roadtrip in Germany I had the pleasure of navigating some narrow roadways & tight parking spots. I don't use the M as a daily. It hardly even sees a parking lot. It's mainly in the garage with some occasional spirited driving or a track day when the weather is good. Hopefully that will help keep the dings at bay.

Thank you! Noticed your canyon carving post. Do you have an MPE as well? Looks live we share the same taste in automobiles.
