M3 F80 vibrating at 105-140kmh and whole car vibrates at 240+ kmh

I have an M3 F80 DCT from 2015, EU spec.

When driving 95-105km/h and around 140km/h on cruise control you have a vibration coming and going every 2 seconds. Doing a pull from 240km/h and up the whole car vibrates.

Car is aligned, tyres new. We even put new wheels on just to eliminate it, same issue.

Car is on warranty and going to BMW next week.

Has anyone had this issue? I saw some issues with the rear diff.

Are you feeling it in the seat or through the steering wheel?

Funny thing is, around 100kmh it's in the steering but basically it comes from the back. At 140 you can feel it from the seat for sure!

The vibration through the wheel is most likely tire/wheel/balance related. The one in the seat could be a lot of things but differential/drive shaft are certainly possibilities. Especially considering your comment that it happens on a "pull" That would indicate it is exacerbated by torque. Wheels/tires don't exhibit that. It is also interesting that you mention it has a resonance (coming and going). No unusual noise associated with it?

We tried new wheels. Same thing, car is aligned perfectly to BMW spec.

It's driveshaft/diff I guess.

I had a slight vibration a while back which felt like it was coming from beneath the gearbox/arm rest area. It wasn't that bad for me where you would feel it from the steering wheel or seat, but it turned out to be due to the driveshaft rubbing against the e-brake line. It only happened under acceleration though.

Check out SI B26 02 14 that I've attached.

It just popped out out of nowhere!

But yes i'm sure it's around that area, not engine or DCT related. Did 1 burnout and then I felt this 3 days later, maybe it was there right after but never paid attention.

Man my M6 is so much a better car than this turd lol

Spoke to the dealer. They said they fixed it, the plate underneath the engine had a loose bolt. I highly doubt that was it.. going to pick it up in a day and will let you guys know.

Sounds more like what you mention to me.

Yes, but I solved the issue by myself - SA sucks in Poland. Additionally I still have unresolved resonance (coming and going) mentioned by SpaceCowboy around 120 km/h and 160 km/h.

I had that too!! I got a new diff, fixed. Try this, put the car on a lift. Do a pull up to 7th gear 4500RPM and put in neutral asap. Then you will hear the complete rearend vibrate.

Did you try other wheels to make sure that's not it?
Could be your driveshaft.

I have no idea with my car..

Long story short - it took me more than two years of fight (I have to call it fight) with BMW. They refused to take car back, jus gave me some "compensation". I had only two options - take some money or go to the court.
I think it is my driveshaft, but I don't know what to do with it. BMW claims it has replaced the shaft but I don't believe that at all... I checked eight sets of wheels - no difference.
About your car - try with tension struts - or jus give the car back, if possible. BMW suks today. There are more similar cases in the forum with car shaking, low frequency drones, steering wheel vibrating...

I'm taking it to a German dealer, they replaced rear diff within 3 days. Pretty good!

Let's see what they say.

I have had a similar issue since i purchased the car. I have a steering shake starting at around 70mph and it gets worse as speeds increase. Balanced multiple times change tires and alignment nothing has fixed it. Possibly a bent rim from the factory

I have a weird shimmy feeling taking left turns when the suspension is loaded around ~120Km/h or so. Feels really weird... Haven't tried taking a left at 200+ though lol.
