Need help with M4 purchase
Hello All,
looking to get a Mineral Grey or Yas Marina Blue but I have some questions for the experts. both cars 2016 YMB with 28k miles - 1 Year left on warranty MG- 15k miles- 1 year left and CPO both black interiors with extended leather, driver asst plus and executive package lightning package and M suspension. the MG is $53k about $5k more then the YMB, probably its worth it because of the low miles and the cpo but maybe the experts can comment on price and dealer probably won't negotiate price. if I was getting an extended warranty for the YMB probably it would be around the 3k I'm thinking or more and it was going to be very close to the MG price I've been looking at YMB and I do like the color a lot, just a bit scare since I'm more of a conservative side, just sold my Porsche 991 and it was black and I have a grey Range Rover at first I was looking at the MG but after looking at the YMB all the lines and contrast with the black accents it does look well, it complements the M series, you can tell its not the average 4 series.. not sure what to do, the YMB looks like a fun car and the MG looks more discreet any help would be appreciated

my vote would be for the YMB.
I personally love that color and don't think its a loud color at all.

YMB for the color and fun factor/ MG for the warranty and lower miles. Can't go wrong either way!

Thanks guys, I'm a big fan of warranty and lower miles but YMB you can tell its an M4 and not just a base 4 series and yes looks like a fun color

As long as the maintenance histories check out, I'd go with the grey. Half the miles and double the warranty. These cars aren't cheap to repair if you have a problem. With vinyl wraps, you can have any color you want if you get bored.
EDIT: just FYI however, CPO warranty isn't as comprehensive as the factory, but I believe it covers major drivetrain issues. Last edited by Wah; 02-19-2019 at 10:07 AM.. |

do you get a lot of problems with M4 ? are they solid, I can always add extended warranty third party if offered by the dealer at a reasonable price, been reading crazy forum prices on Extended warranties, way more expensive then Land Rover and I thought LR prices are crazy

i had the same situation as you when i was going to buy my car. between YMB and AY, AY got lower mile, both CPO. but i choosed YMB with SS inside, i think its the best color combo. actually none of these two which you listed here are considered as high mile range.
My thought is reliability and issue could be solved by well maintain. however nothing can beat a factory paint as YMB, no matter a decent wrapping job or aftermarket paint job. Last edited by yeg_m_club; 02-21-2019 at 07:55 PM.. |
