LED Halo Brightness Coding Question
Creating another thread for future searching purposes
Anyways, none of the cheat codes for brighter halos are for LED's I did some digging when coding off my amber side LED's See pic below, is the 9th Werte value in related to the Halo brightness? I see it at 64 now, will changing it to 100 in Standicht Modus 1 & 2 for LHM 43 & 43 make my Halos for LED @ 100% all the time? Figured I would ask before I code. Also not sure if any changes are needed in FEM_BODY, I would rather understand how to change this manually than use a cheat code. Thanks in advance! |

A couple questions:
1. For LED headlights, were you able to disable amber sidemarkers? 2. For LED headlights, were you able to increase the Angel Brightness to 100% with low beams on?

In every car I have coded, this is possible. Though, 100% gives a washed out look that is also glaring to other drivers and I would advise against; instead, try 60%.

Correct. Though, confusing part for FLE's is that Group 3004 number references 3005 behavior. As such, you do not directly set to 3C in 3004.

Compare Tagfahrlicht (DRL) to Standlicht Modus 1/2 (low beams/driving) to find the correct value to edit?

Incorrect. That is what you do for TMS. For '18 with FLE, it is DRL_Idx to POL1/2/3_Idx. And, as stated, you cannot directly change just werte value there to desired intensity as those 3004 wertes are references for 3005 values.

Another question sorry...in another thread regarding disabling amber sidemarkers with LED headlights, I got these instructions to code the TMS as per below.
For an '18, will I be doing exactly the same, but with the FLE instead? -- Instructions -- For LED headlamps: You'll need to FDL code both TMS modules (one is for the left light, one is for the right) Within TMS, search for Standlicht Modus 1 & Standlicht Modus 2, and change the Werte Value 64 to 00 as follows: Original: 00, 03, 00, 00, 64, 03, 00, 00, 64, 03, 00, 00, 2B, 04, 00, 00 Change: 00, 03, 00, 00, 00, 03, 00, 00, 64, 03, 00, 00, 2B, 04, 00, 00

Plus, with TMS, you can directly change 64 (100%) to desired level (eg, 3C for 60%). It is not as simple for FLE. This is for my F015:
