It's just bluetooth update - useless.
You need iDrive Firmware Upgrade

I have _Y update but when I enable I get a white square in the split screen section is there something else needed?

Scam?

Got CarPlay upgrade from kubax86 after specifically asking about system requirements, etc to run the app. Was told multiple times “just need windows”. Had issues at first with extraction but was able to perform. Now the Computer won’t run the application! Just gives me an error message that “This app can’t run on your PC”.
Tried many messages and emails, but the only response I get is “get a new computer”.

Computer is 2015 purchase.
Anyone else with similar issue? Being refused a refund and I am not getting any further responses for help.

I am only saying this is like a scam, because I pay you for a product that you state you stand behind, but when I have a problem you disappear with no other customer service or offers to help solve the issue. I am asking other people if they have had similar experience as I have.

I asked you specific questions about what is needed to run your app.
You gave me only one answer after I asked 2 or 3 times.
I bought your product, and when it does not work, even though I am using Windows, as you specify. You tell me “Go get a new computer”. I sent you a couple emails, as you requested me to do about the problem including screen shots, and you stopped responding.

Why you don’t simply WhatsApp me? I sent you my number, I’m unable to send you PM couse you’re a new user. Want to get this done for you remotely but can’t contact you, so please text me to get this issues resolved.

Why don't you do what he's telling you to and stop complaining. I bought a map upgrade and have asked him plenty of questions and he responds very quickly. I see no issue with his services. And no offense a computer from 2015 is older your talking 7 plus years. Computers at this point need to be replaced 4-5 years due to all the technology changes.

fwiw, @kubax86 updated my firmware and enabled CarPlay full screen using my old 2016 Dell. i know it's a year newer, but is your laptop up to date? are you running Windows 10 or newer?

I bought the apple carplay activation on ebay before, but the dealer updated my software and bricked the navigation. It’s been fixed now.

My question is: Will the previous carplay affect me from getting carplay right now and would my onboard navigation brick again when I retrofit carplay?
