M4 looks very insect-oid to me, not sure why.

But this....beauty. The rear fenders are delightful.

Where can we find more specs, color combos and exterior shots of the M3 sedan?

I'm debating mineral white or the launch yellow....also I kinda don't want to do the cliche red or black leather interiors and thinking of trying a cinnamon or rich brown leather like the new Corvette offers.

Decisions, Decisions....

Exactly! I'm sorry, but there is nothing that can make the M4 look better or more desirable short of an actual redesign. I guarantee that the M3 sedan will remain in short supply/high demand, while the M4 will sit on lots collecting dirt. Personally, I'll wait for the LCI so I can have LED lighting in the rear as well as the front, plus you have to have Comp pkg on an M car, period.

The only other car I would consider over this is a steeply discounted M5.

The M3 looks much more agressive and I don't think it's just bad lighting or wheels or carbon fiber. The M4 styling is smoother, more gradual, more fluid if that makes any sense. The M3 on the other hand has obvious and sudden fender flares that pop out like a bulging muscles which give it a more aggressive and mean look-->awesome!

I prefer the M3 styling over the M4 this time around and it seems many others agree; very strange how this has turned out.

That mineral white M3 looks amazing; definitely a looker!

That mineral white M3 photo will go down as the pre-release photo of photos. It's just bananas!

Thanks for all the comments, MW is now on top of my list for the F80. I agree that some pearl whites can look both too feminin and luxurious on some cars but I don't think it does on the E92 M3 or the F80. I hope I'll be able to see one in real life, might be an unusual launch car choice though.

Doesn't seem to be the case, at least here. I'm second on the growing list of orders for the M4 (put on list 4 months ago) and I recently inquired about where I would be on the list for the M3 if I switched over. The answer - First, there is no list.

Maybe not in MN, but there sure are a list of people here in CA for the M3. I'd be #18 at my local dealership (..if I don't pull some major strings).

I'll contemplate that benefit to living in Minnesota as i battle to survive the negative 20 degree temperatures without turning into a popsicle

Mineral white vs Brilliant white

Maybe it was somewhere in these 14 pages, but how do Mineral & Brilliant White compare?

Mineral is a metallic with a more muted color (..a dirtier white so to speak; seemingly with a slight grey hue compared to AW). Brilliant is a metallic with color flakes, and is a cleaner white. I guess that's the best way to explain it. I'm sure someone will provide a more detailed or analytical response.

Brilliant White on the right:

Or it can be more simply stated....
  • Alpine White: A more pure white (..non-metallic)
  • Brilliant White: Pearl White (..color flakes)
  • Mineral White: Metallic white with greyish hue (..dirty)

Think I like the Brilliant over the other two, but would really need to see in person. Probably not my choice though if I have to go Individual.
