666 Wheels Curb Rash Fix Shop Recommendations

Guys,

Do any of you have any suggestions to wheel shops that can address curb rash on black 666 style Wheels ? I know matching them is hard due to the clear coating, but I still want to take a shot.

Thank you

I went through this with one of my rear wheels, I had it spot fixed and wasn't satisfied, then had a full face machining and it never quite looked right. Unfortunately, if you're OCD like me, the only way to make it look right is to buy a brand new wheel which I ended up doing.

These machined wheels are really hard to make 100 percent.

I think MemoryFab could help you with that.

If not, then Wheel Techniques.

Not necessarily true. I have a custom 3 piece wheel and got a curb rashed repair. A wheel shop was able to get it to match 98%. Even the wheel manufacture said it would be nearly impossible to match and to get a new wheel.

I think it's just because I'm too anal when it comes to my cars. It's a curse.

When I curbed my 666M, I couldn't sleep. I searched far and wide and found Son from Onsite Wheels, considered one of the best in the business for spot fixes. After the repair, it still bothered me. I guess to most, this repair would suffice since you can't tell from a few feet away.

Before:

After:

My car OCD kicked in hard and I had the whole wheel redone at Wheel Concepts in Camarillo, again regarded as one of the best after doing research. They machined the whole face and re-cleared it, they got it about 95 percent perfect but there was just something about it that didn't look right, a bit too shiny I think. Everybody I asked couldn't tell but for me, I could. The only way for me to be happy was if it was 100 percent, not 95 so I ended up getting a new wheel from BMW.

I feel your pain, dude.

I've used Son before. Super nice gentleman and would go back to him, again. He can't make OCD go away. No one can except new powered by wallet.

Just had wheel repair specialists in Santa Ana fix some curb rash on my black 666 rim. First impression is I can't tell where the repair was. I'm going to clean the wheels this weekend to get a better look.
