Ah makes sense, basically the “GTS Roar” option you get in BM3 but from the factory. Is there a way to start the car with the valves fully open and not close at all

After driving in Sport+, park and unplug the exhaust valve solenoid. It will stay open. There will be an invisible code of none responsive exhaust valves but thats about it.

I think this is about the cheapest you'll find from BMW dealer online parts sites. I've bought a number of parts from them with quick and accurate order shipping.

Are you guys putting on the CF driver/passenger mirror covers or keeping the stock ones on your CS vehicles?

Thinking of putting the CF ones but I feel like the paint matched ones are better since the CS colors are more special, in a sense?

Special is as special does. I immediately swapped out with OEM CF mirror caps. Stupid money, but easy to resell so long as genuine.

These tires may as well be cup tires. It's got double the number of special sticky Michelin magic compounds compared to your off the shelf PS4S so it's more like a PS4S Cup. BMW M wasn't messing around along the rubber front.

Nice work.

I only do it if it's a boring color like black. No way I'd trade out painted FDB2 mirrors to drab carbon ones. The more color the better.

One more question, lol. Are you guys swapping out the top mount intercooler? I had it leak on my 2016 base before around 32k miles, and wasn't sure if people are seeing the same issues on the CS models. Part doesn't seem like its been changed so not sure if I should consider upgrading the stock one.

Mine was optioned with CF mirror caps (and M Perf side decals) out of the gate. I think they are a nice touch and I wouldn't have it another way.

I had someone do ceramic coating on mine and made a positive difference. Matte paint you will find attracts dust and just sits on the car very easily. Ceramic coating helps brush it off or even when driving off just comes off easily. Also, makes cleaning easier. Most have 3 year protection once applied.
+1 on ceramic coating. Get the wheels done too. FDB is the worse car I've ever owned at hiding dirt especially after rain. Give it a quick pressure wash with ceramic coating and the dirt is essentially gone and the brake dust just washes away.

Was thinking that the sidewall looked thick before I even read your post. Interesting.

Both loook nice, can’t go wrong with either one. F80/f82 got the best looking side mirrors of any car. But I prefer mine color matched

Same here, interestingly, CF mirror caps (dealer) optioned on mine, but I am on the hunt for factory LRG caps just to have on the shelf.

I'm out of ideas, need to either be content with the final product or start thinking of something new to do with it. I think anything else however would be tacky/trying too hard. These cars are just setup so well as is.

Hmm.

Second set of wheels, preferrably BBS LMR in 20", black barrel, diamond silver face.

Just sayin'...

Normally wheels are one of the first things I change on a car, but the 763m wheels are just perfect to me. Thanks for the help though!

You should be content with what you've got because you are satisfied with it.

Enjoy it for what it is rather than what it could potentionally be.

Thanks! Nope, they’re the Vorsteiner side blades to match the diffusor.

Hey guys I’m taking my 19’ m4cs to the track soon for a HPDE. It’ll be my first time, so what are the main things I should bring with me to the track.

Also going to be putting trackarmour on the front bumper and other panels to prevent rocks from destroying my paint.

My car is at 13k miles now and the brake fluid hasn’t been changed as far as I know, I just got oil changed at 12.1k miles last month. Tires are PSS with good tread on them.

Should I get the brake fluid changed? Should I use a different fluid if so

The stock pads aren’t gonna be toasted after one HPDE right?

Do brake fluid for sure. Motul RBF or Castrol SRF.

Pads are just a good cheap safety item... and my Ferodo DS1.11 were cheaper and better than OE pads from the dealer. So if you get those or similar pads, then you could then swap them for the original pads for daily use. It's a very easy job anyway.

You don't need to do anything else really at this point.

Regardless of track days, no fluid in the car lasts a century despite the car being low-mileage.
