I want to grab a set of performance pedals, pretty sure I need the manual set because the CS brake pedal looks smaller can anyone confirm?

I just washed it finally for the first time. Waiting on an entire kit of stuff from Dr. Beasleys to do what I can to get it as good looking as possible. Other than some minor road blasting on the lower front bumper, back of the rockers, and some random scratches here and there, the paints in pretty good shape.
From one FDB II owner to another get ceramic coating at least. Makes a huge difference with maintance.

Dr. Beasley is good stuff I use too. Try drying it first with an electric leaf blower than towel dry.

I got the entire line from Dr. Beasley. Soap, Decon, Cleaner and the coating. I got a quote on PPF but with the "damage" thats been done, I am not sure if its worth the investment now.

I feel ya... I just got the same from Dr. Beasley's (along with a new Karcher pressure washer, new hose, gun, snow cannon, etc., etc... ), and the weather here has been uncooperative for my first wash after driving it home 1200 miles.

I also have a few decent sized chips and am still waffling over PPF, but I'm also now content that the car is not showroom new, so minor issues won't cause too much anxiety. The damage to the rear diffuser, though, after bringing it home and doing my own inspection... I guess I'll get to learn / practice buffing CF.

The biggest issue for me is the burnt tire smell and what looks to be rubber powder in the engine bay.

Want I meant is not PPF..This

https://www.drbeasleys.com/matte-paint-coating.html

or better

https://gyeonquartzusa.com/product/matte-evo/

I had someone do ceramic coating on mine and made a positive difference. Matte paint you will find attracts dust and just sits on the car very easily. Ceramic coating helps brush it off or even when driving off just comes off easily. Also, makes cleaning easier. Most have 3 year protection once applied.

Forgive me if this has already been covered.

Is the parking brake boot different than the ones on a non-CS F8X?

Was looking to upgrade the brake handle and boot to the M performance one (34-40-2-358-363) and stumbled upon this.

If it is different I am guessing I have no option to upgrade it. Mainly the leather look is bothering me… would much rather have it in carbon at the very least. The M stitching on the M performance one is nice but isn’t a deal breaker since the CS already came with an alcantara one but without the colored stitching.

I believe the e-brake handle in the F80 CS is the same as the E9x M3. Assume the boot goes with the handle assembly but do verify.

It different but the handle part is interchangeable so you can get a CF replace for the leather that’s what I’ve done you just need a flat connector zip tie to hold it all together.

OK, I just bought a 2019 M4 CS and I'm planning on some minor cosmetic upgrades to start... one being a new engine start/stop button.

I keep seeing references that red was standard on CS, but mine is black. Can anyone confirm if black came on CS, or do I have some detective work to do on this car?!?

Never mind, I looked at A LOT of CS release info and didn't see any red buttons.

M3CS has the red start button, all M4CS are black as far as I know.

Just wanted to share in case others were thinking of going the same route. I replaced my original PSS yesterday with the star-marked G8X PS4S. Of course, the rears are the same size but the fronts at 275 vs 255 with the same aspect ratio look a bit tall visually. I’m sure I’ll get used to it but wanted to share. Thankfully that extra sidewall height doesn’t mean decreased response. All the internal and compound improvements mean the performance is definitely there with sharp turn-in and enthusiastic response to inputs. (FYI car is all stock, no MP-HAS.)

Anyone else’s CS start with the valves open for a second then closes? Mine seems to do this and when I press the pedal before starting the car, it doesn’t make any noise of the valve staying open for the whole start duration. Been like this ever since I bought the car from the last owner

All CS/GTS are like this. Valves close after startup roar, and then reopen after warmup cycle.
