I didn’t love the 4s.
I thought it was softer and I preferred the harshness of the SS. I then have read many posts of others feeling the same. This theory was then confirmed when Michelin came out and said that was a major difference they went after in the two, softened the side walls to make more road compliant. Lol.

I ran the stock PSS that came with the CS then ditched them for the PS4S as soon as my custom 3-piece wheels arrived. PS4S better in dry PS4S superior in wet PS4S better NVH PS4S the sexiest sidewall in the business that's not a Cup 2 or Cup 2 R (PSS looks hella old) Major diff, indeed.

PSS Star spec offers better performance and grip if you ask me. Ps4S star spec is an overall better tire than the PSS Star but I noticed that the PS4S Star and regular give a false sense of "lack of grip" initially but if you trust the tire and push through the grip is there. Right now I am on PS4S Star spec my next tire will be Nanakang CR-S V2 FWIW my car is no longer a daily. |

Thinking of getting some new wheels for my m3cs. Has anyone tried running 19" all around? If so, any noticeable difference in performance compared to the staggered stock setup?

Thanks! Just really trying to keep it looking classy and not tacky/trying to hard. It's a fine line, and I have no other plans to add any other mint green highlights anywhere else. I just thought one little subtle nod to the calipers' color would be a nice touch.

I believe a lot of people run 275/30 & 295/30 with that set up.

275 35 19 thicker and closer to oem spec at 26.6” and filling the fencder gaps better too. 305 30 19 that will be 26.3” closer to oem specs also and more traction, it’s depends on your wheels offset too. It may or may not fit those tires

I think I've decided I want to get an F80 CS and have it very long term. I never have cars more than a few years (currently have an F90 M5 and previously an F82 M4 (2015)) - but I've always thought this car was the best looking and such a weapon. I think it'll be the perfect weekend car to have in the stable for years to come. |

Man… my car is very, very far from stock but I got to drive a stock CS again, and man did BMW get it right with this one. Don’t get me wrong, I love my CS as it’s much more “dialed-in” for my usage but if I didn’t have a track addiction, I would ride out a stock CS til the end of days.

Buck? For some reason I don't feel anything like that. (I'm on KW HAS)

Really? It’s much more composed than non-CS, it’s what sealed the deal for me when deciding on a CS.

Hey all, so turns out I warped my rotors over a track weekend - while I’ve opted to replace with OEM BMW units this time around, starting to think through a more long term solution.
For the track goers out here - how have you thought about braking systems for a car that’ll see 5-6 track weekends per year (10-12 individual track days)? |

You cross a freeway over pass where the freeway is above the street. There is usually a mild ramp up. The front would be ok but the rear unloads really fast (bucking). This was an issue with 100% bone stock slightly less with the GC HAS springs but it was still there and unstable. Quote:
Take all the little ramp ups out then the car works perfect. Big willow Turn 6 leading to Turn 7 there is a diagonal crest on the M3CS i would have to lift just before that crest slightly to prevent the rear end from launching up and shifting me left. On the C63 this was a non issue with stock suspension. On a Boxter S this was also a non issue on stock suspension. My solution was to ditch EDC and go with MCS2WNR setup. problem solved!
