Vibration after downpipe
I get my catless downpipe done by a reputable shop but I have a vibration when I’m idling it vibrates for about 2 sec and than stop and about 6-8sec the vibration comes back for another 2 sec then repeat until I apply gas and start moving there is no sound of it from the in or outside but I can feel it. My question is, is that normal with downpipe I got all new bolt/ nut, gasket turbo to down and downpipe to midpipe so what can this vibration be from?

Any tips for tracking it down? Also aside from adjusting stuff is there any material that can be applied that is heat resistant and can reduce the rattle? I have a similar problem and it’s super annoying.

I've had the same issue when I used ARM downpipes. The pipe was touching the subframe I believe, just due to fitment issues. Ended up swapping it out for Evolution Racewerks and no issues since

That would be two downpipes, correct? One of them obviously is too close to the surrounding body structure and might be touching it due to expansion once it heats up. You might also check the rest of the exhaust between the downpipes and the midpipe section.

It’s probably touching the subframe, I had the same issue. I fixed it by applying a layer of heat foil between the contact point. I have ARM resonated DPs

I have the same issue, thought it was the gasket but after changing still vibrating. Will take a closer look.

Hey did you figure this out? Going to take a look at my vibration issue this weekend and could use some suggestions. I expect its hitting the subframe but my previous attempts at finding it were unsuccessful

Yeah I’ll check it in the summer. It either dented the metal or wear it but from what I can gather no visible exhaust leaks it pretty easy to see an exhaust leak at -15
