Totally agree. I want to swap out the 666 and have to buy black and powder coat...

Those of you w/ the 763M, what tire sizes are you running? I'm currently on stock suspension but plan to do a moderate drop via Eibach. Also, will the stock lug bolts/locks work w/ these wheels?

PS4S, 265/35:19 & 285/30:20 with unmolested ride height. OEM lug bolts work just fine since these are OEM wheels.

I love these wheels...and I love the 666s too.

Is it sacrilegious to want to use the 763 as a winter setup? LOL

Yes it is, since the 763M are the better performance option due their significantly lighter weight. Use the 666M as your winter setup instead

imo, it depends on what you mean by "winter setup": if you mean all season performance tires and you park the car during snow, then you should use what appeals to you. If by "winter setup" you mean Blizzaks or the like, I would suggest narrower 18 inch wheels. If you have CCB then obviously other questions arise.
Having said all that, I have to say I'd likely find the prospect of keeping 666 free of salt pretty daunting.

Hi there, I love your wheels, I have a blue car too. I am in the process of buying a set of 19" 763s. I will most likely get a black set and powder coat them silver too. Can you give me an idea of the cost (PM is OK if you don't want to broadcast) and what shop you used? Did you just say make them silver? Did they have any other options, eg. Diamond Black, gunmetal? Much appreciated.

Thanks for your kind words. Regarding your questions, in order:
1. mine were $500 including removal of original finish. it appears that this is a pretty typical price in various parts of the country, I'd be cautious of quotes very much lower than that.
2. the vendor I chose happened to be 15 mins from my house, certainly a factor. this particular vendor had a very large assortment of samples, also he has contracts with high end (Porsche, Benz, Lambo etc) dealers in the region. in your area I'd call service depts at similar dealers and ask them. even better, start a new thread in the regional subforum on this forum and ask there. feel free to bump your thread every few days to encourage input.
3. you'll find that the spectrum of colors available is very broad. if you want silver, you will be choosing from a dozen or so colors that are more or less silver. companies that supply the materials also supply plastic 3-D color swatches of their colors, so you can hold it in different lights at different angles. light matters. this not an easy decision, take your time. I would avoid any vendor unable to provide this level of choice. a variety of the vendor's previous work should be easily available.
Visiting the vendor's facility is an absolute must, you learn a lot that way.
DO NOT forget to make sure you have a competent shop to demount, remount and road force balance your shiny new wheels. Do this FIRST. GET REFERENCES.
Good luck!
