Congratulations krup.
Back in 2016, I was applying to work for the US Embassy in Bangkok and was hoping to take my '15 F80 M3 with me. Things didn't pan out. Enjoy your car in good health. Cheers, |

Should just move to another country and buy a house + the same car for the same price. Working remote is the new thing anyways 😂 congrats on the purchase!

M4 pricing in Singapore.
ZCP F82 pricing is at SGD 423,888 or approx. USD 318k for a new car, including all upfront taxes/licenses. Road tax (similar to our DMV registration) is a further annual cost. All new cars are tied to a 10-year depreciation schedule via a Certificate of Entitlement (COE), after which the owner will need to bid for a new COE (every 10 years) if he/she intends to keep the car beyond 10 years. |

There's an import charge of 80% and then other excise and VAT charges that can exceed 300% depending on many factors (engine size, hybrid, etc.).

I'd get a moped in Thailand considering it a excellent place to retire for an apt monthly cost being about $100 or so. Your income to get a $400k car must be over a million dollars a year or near that, one cannot get a car like this for an average monthly income of 30k baht - $1000.
Congratulations on you ride, I too will never complain how expensive cars are in the US, but cost of living is expensive in the Northeast part of the United States. |
