Back into an M...

Well, I almost pulled the trigger on an E92 M3 last week. Then I changed my mind, put a deposit down on a 981 Cayman S. For some reason, it just didn't do it for me so I cancelled that. Maybe if it was a GT4?

On the way home from Porsche, I decided to swing by my BMW Dealer to see what was available, and then I saw this:




30 minutes later, done deal. They'll be throwing in brand new MPSS tires, had them also include new rotors and pads front and rear, refinish the wheels for a hair over 75k CAD. Comp pack, exec, premium, and none of that driver assist BS. Pretty excited to pick it up next week... it's going to be a long 7 days.

Sidenote: How do I enable Carplay on this? 2018 LCI.

Love the color but i would ask them to replace the front bumper. I'm pretty sure there are holes behind the front plate.

As for CarPlay, once you pair your phone it should auto load assuming you have iPhone device.

congrats on the M4! just got my M3 delivered this weekend! Except for my MY2017 I'm still figuring out if carplay is available for mine. Software is super out of date so I'll have to see if I can get it updated and double check if there's the wifi antenna installed behind the headunit

100% there are holes, but sadly the Vancouver PD are huge sticklers with handing out fines and VI's for no front plates. Heard some M4 ZCP cars get VI'd for being too loud, even though they're bone stock

Re: displaying your front plate, I have a Sto-N-Sho mount. The base is bolted in the center inlet, on the upper part of the inlet. You can't see the mount unless you get down on your hands and knees. The plate mount slides in (daily driving) and out (track) of the base. I can post pics tomorrow if interested.

A front lip evens out the unaesthetic of the front plate lol. Carbon looks good on l YMB

CarPlay has to be enabled both on your phone and in iDrive:
- on your phone, enable Location Services, Siri, and Bluetooth
- in iDrive's settings for your phone, make sure CarPlay is selected instead of BMW Bluetooth

Also, is that Burrard or Langley?

Congrats! However, I would advise Michelin Pilot Sport 4S not PSS (Super Sports) The 4S is a much better tire.

+1 I put a set of 4S's on my M4 replacing to OEM PSS's and I could tell the difference right away, a major improvement.

Sorry yes I meant MPS4S - just used to Super Sports from back in the day!
