Best exhaust sound?
What is the best exhaust sound and performance? Forget about price! Would like feedback. Thanks

From what I've personally owned. My ratings count sound, quality, and finish. None of them provide much of a power increase regardless of what the marketing vaporware says.
Without Downpipes - MPE > AWE Non-Res > Stock With Downpipes - AA > AWE resonated > MPE > Stock |

Performancewise, any gains can be contributed to catless downpies, as the OEM systems are very efficient for stock turbo setups.

I could understand that. If you want a raw sounding exhaust the AWE is definitely more in your wheel house. |

Truth is there is not best exhaust, it is 100% based on the person buying it. What are you looking for in an exhaust? High pitch aggressive or a deep tone ? Are you adding downpipes as well? How loud from 1- 10 are you looking the exhaust to be considering 1 is stock and 10 is straight pipes ? My personal favorite is the Active Autowerke because it is the only exhasut that removes rasp Remus with stock DP sounds amazing AWE and GTHaus are very good options for a more aggressive exhaust

My favorite exhaust right now is Akrapovic due to beauties of carbon fiber tips and overall construction. But I have heard that its sound is not the best.
My other options are Dinan, AA and AWE, all with downpipes. I would like a sport aggressive sound, but at the same time good for daily driving. No drone. I will buy downpipes to add more HP.

AWE and AA are different exhaust types ( AA being deep and no rasp, AWE more aggressive and loud) If you are getting catless downpipes, skip the AWE non-res

Do you like more of a deep sound from your exhaust or high pitch raspy sound? Are valves important to you? |

I can't reasonably spend Akra prices for what I consider a sound upgrade when the sound is continuously rated as not as good as the cheaper options. The best quick sound upgrade you can make IMO right now is disconnecting the Active Sound Module from the rear. . . Its free!

I have narrowed my personal choice down to MPE and Remus. I won't be doing DPs.
Sound is extremely subjective though since BMS and Status Gruppe Exhaust aren't close to be released, those are my choices. Akra is great when it comes to build quality but F8x Akra Exhaust doesn't sound great, especially for its price.

I have the Akrapovic paired with AR down pipes with high flow cats, I like the sound, but I have not heard any other installed exhaust. Right now I'm very happy with the sound except at full throttle I think no one likes the farting sound the M3/4 makes haha, but again this is a personal choice so you will have to hear different ones. The Akrapovic is just a piece of art and the tips look really cool

Remus is very highly rated. As mentioned above it is only to be used with stock DP.

Ya MPE and Remus sound good with stock DPs.
If you want to do DPs you should probably do AA or even Akra if you want to put up the dough. sraj No I never heard Remus with DPs but since I am not doing DPs it never really occurred to me. Boss330 are those vid clips full Remus or just rear/axel back?
