When you get above 5800-6000RPM you start getting timing pull on various cylinders, and a knock.

First check is to have fresh plugs gapped to 0.023", either stock BMW plugs or NGKs.
Next check is fuel quality. Drive down to a half tank of gas and add exactly 1gal of E85.

Set BM3 to log these (go to datalogs tab, click the gear in upper right corner):
Default Channels = select every one
Advanced (RAM) Channels = none
"Other" Channels = LPFP Act. (raw), Wastegate Duty Cycle (bank 2)

On next log start at 3K RPM and stop at 6500, in case the timing/knock persists. We don't want to push above 6500 until you're clear of timing/knock.

I will try all of that and post back the new log.

Thank you a lot

So I got the new spark plugs and also gapped them, Added the gallon of e85, did not make the changes to the setting on bm3.

Here are the new logs...

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6352...729b63d8d8b269

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6352...729b66bdb6ccb5

The car is faster (tested with dragy) but the first log had knock and both of the logs timing pulls.

On both runs plug #4 is the first to pull timing, or the only one pulling timing. Check plug #4 for gap and to make sure its clean. If both are good then swap Coil #4 with #2 so we can check if they are the problem.

Also I think you're not logging in Sport+ with DCT fully off, since the throttle position is adjusting.

Don't go over 6500 RPM.

I went ahead and went for a E85 tune, here are two logs.

4th pull
https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6382...729be64519a510

These were 60-130s starting at like 50 miles
https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6382...0b43b2d8279363

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6382...90c6eeace60b4e

I'm not sure why my throttle body does not fully open until like 5k rpm , I have the traction fully off and on one of those the car was spinning plus everything in car set to sport plus.

Please let me know what you think of the log in general.

The logs look pretty clean. Timing is staying together and you're making >26PSI. Im sure your tuner will continue revising.

Could you please take a peek at mine. Seems as if it's all over the place on timing pull. I was getting 512/543 last year at this time with OTS1 93 and drop-ins carbon removed. Now with the addition of new NGK one heat range colder gapped at 21, downpipes, and OTS2 I am making LESS! I had two other friends with the exact same mods are within 5hp/8tq on the same day same dyno. I had a pull mid summer and was really concerned however in the CF I was given 7%. John at CES suggested going back to new stock plugs. No data logs from '21 or '22 pulls. May have had a small pressure leak last summer.

Data log from:
runfile_1/_2 red/blue
https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=63bd...0b431c363fd81a
https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=63bd...729b99b9d74e4e

Then loaded OTS1 and saw no difference!
Runfile_3 green pull:
https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=63bd...729b99b9d74e6c

Value anyone's opinion!

FrankMstein just try the stock plugs again. Engines are particular, so stick to what works best.

Hey guys, I recently tune my car after the famous crankhub issues now full e85, but i always like second opinions, so here attached is my datalog if anyone could chime on this. Is always better to ask than waiting for the worse. I dont know how to read this bur was catch an eye on me was the psi target vs the actual boost.

Thanks

You need to look at boost pre throttle, that's how much your are boosting. Don't worry about the target on your set up.

How old are your plugs ? There is timing corrections.

are these tunes changing the stoich in the ECU for the fuel being used? So that 1.0 Lambda and all lambda targets are accurate? what are your STFT's?

E10 is 14.1
E85 is 9.7

If the ECU is set for 14.7 stoich and it doesn't know an Exx fuel is being added, how is it compensating correctly?
