BootMod3 GTS Transmission Tune

Hey there,

I flashed (according to the file) to the GTS transmission tune successfully. However, I do not notice a difference or anything of that nature. Is there a way to tell if it actually flashed correctly?

Thank you,
Nathan S

The only way you'll notice a difference is during hard shifts which is a maybe depending on your sensory level. Aside from that the biggest difference I noticed was when car the drops down to 2nd coming to a stop in automatic it became smooth. With my original CS it used to be very abrupt and jerky.

It should be smoother starting off in 1 & 2, and less clunky slowing down from 3 to 2 & 2 to 1. Things like shift speed and torque kick depend on how sensitive you are to feeling such things as well as how long you’ve spent driving with the stock DCT software. Increased clutch clamping pressure is something you won’t feel/notice.

The GTS flash will not kick as hard in drive logic mode 2 or 3 like a normal comp pack when shifting in manual mode. I compare the GTS drive logic 3 setting to about the feel of the comp pack in drive logic 2. That's kind of why I miss the comp pack tune.

GTS transmission is very noticeable when in DL1. Try slow squeezing 1st to 2nd & paddle shifting at 4500rpms, then 2nd to 3rd at around 5500rpms. It's goes so quick/clean and the gear shift sound is amazing once everything is warmed up. I f**king love it.

At high speeds you should also be able to notice the smoothness in shifting in DL1.

I have the GTS transmission tune and it still did the jerky downshift from 3 to 2. At this point I’m immune to it. It was done remotely by Alex at Alpine tuning. Doubt it wasn’t flashed correctly. Anyway to check if it’s flashed?

Hey so, so i never drive the car in automatic, is that when you really notice the difference? For example at least in manual first or second gear it will still the kangaroo / jerkiness when starting out on rough surfaces.

Thanks!

Hey there,

Just to clarify you are referring to S1 shifting aggression correct? I have mine on S3 pretty much always maybe that is why i still notice the jerkiness.

Thanks!

Yeah i was reading there was no more jerkiness and things of that nature but i think they were referring to in auto or in S1. I reached out to horsepowerfreaks to see if there was anyways to actually tell on my side.

Thanks!

I haven't noticed any difference in DL1 with the GTS flash. Maybe in rolling to a stop or downshifting for sure, def notice a difference. but the whole, "GTS flash shifts faster" seems like a gimmick to me. My comp pack stock flash was lightyears faster at upshifting and downshifting.
