Good choice. I feel that 15mm all around looks great.

The 15/12 has been the general consensus with M4's however we have done a little bit wider. This particular car is 15 all around

If not lowering 18 in the front shouldnt have any issues.

Hey Tom,

Just ordered spacers from EAS yesterday. I got 20mm F and 18mm R. I was measuring the distance from the outer part of the wheels to the outer part of the wheel wells.

I got a measurment of 18mm in the front and 17mm in the back. With this generation model do you guys recommend the same size spacers front and back or are my measurements incorrect? I konw with the E92 M3 the front wheels definitely needed a 3mm larger spacer in the front compared do the rear so they would match up.

What is the discrepency with the F80?

Thanks!!

Often the question of "what size spacers can I run" is brought up numerous times on the forums. This can be a bit of a loaded question since there are many variables to account for.

This thread will serve as a reference to help make their decision based on the above criteria.

Examples
- Wheel choice (OEM 18" or 19")
- Tire choice
- Suspension
- Driving habits/track use
- Aesthetic preference

OEM F8X M3/M4 Wheel Specs
- 18x9.0 Front (ET29) 18x10.0 Rear (ET40), Style 513M
- 19x9.0 Front (ET29) 19x10.0 Rear (ET40), Style 437M

OEM F8X M3/M4 Tire Specs
18": Michelin Super Sport: 255/40-18F, 275/40-18R
19": Michelin Super Sport: 255/35-19F, 275/35-19R

Please format your entries using the following format:

1. The year/model of your BMW: (ie: 2015 M3)

2. Wheels/offset:
Front: (ie: 18x9.0 Style 513M, ET29)
Rear: (ie: 18x10.0 Style 513M, ET40)

3. Tire size:
Front: (ie: Michelin PS2 255/40-18)
Rear: (ie: Michelin PS2 275/40-18)

4. Suspension:
(ie: Stock, Adaptive M w/ H&R Sport Springs)

5. Spacer size:

Rear: (ie: 15mm)

Let's begin.

20/18 sticks out wayyy too much. 15/15 looks best IMO. 15/12 is nice as well.

Can we quit calling them "M3/M4" sport springs? The f80 has it's own part numbers.

Sports: 50474-6

(Edit - unless they are the new super sport springs which apparently are the same part number for both cars)

Looks good, with the 20/18 combo do both wheels seem to be more or less equally protruding from the top of the wheel well?

Installing mine on Friday, I have a 15mm spacer sitting around incase it's too much and want to go down to 18/15.

Those are M4-specific H&R Sport springs.

Thanks, your front tire looks perfect protruding just a touch. Had 18/15 on my E92 M3 and it looks very similar to your setup overall.

Hmm.. Thinking of getting the H&R M3 Sport springs as well. Just installed the 20/18 spacer combo and it looks great particularly in the rear --the front wheel gap is huge though. Don't know if I should wait for the Dinan or KW sleeve kit.

Are you getting any rubbing at all with the springs and the 20/18 combo?

No rubbing. I have 435 sport springs on M3 cuz I didn't want the severe tuck the M4 sport springs gave. If I was patient I would have waited for the KW sleeve kit but I just couldn't go any longer with that huge gap in the front.

Appreciate the feedback, from what I gather the front springs from the 435 sport springs are identical to those in m3 sport springs whereas the rear raises up about 0.5" using the 435 kit. Is that right?

You are correct. That's why I went with them.
