Richland Forged RF-GT4: “Project Nürburg” Release

Richland Forged is pleased to bring the unveiling and release of the RF-GT4, codenamed “Project Nürburg”, to Bimmerpost!

This exclusive design progresses the consumer based 763M wheel towards the stylings of that used in the GT4 Euro series by the BMW motorsports factory racing program. The design overcomes one of the main shortcomings of the 763M wheel translation, namely the linearity derived from the two-stage peaked spoke apex. This aspect leads to the 763M being visually perceived as “flat” on wheel face in contrast to the GT4 wheel. The spoke curvature of our RF-GT4 offering has been refined and combined with decreased offsets to gain increased concavity profile, with improved visual characteristics and styling accuracy. The fully forged RF-GT4 is being offered in optimal offsets for the F80/F82 platform, with increased widths to support wider tire applications, putting more rubber to the road. The 19” GT4 version compares almost equally to 763M weight while increasing wheel width. The 20” version weighs significantly less than the 666M competition pack wheelset while gaining wheel width.

19x9.5” (ET 26/ ET 22) - Weight 22.2lbs
19x10.5” (ET 35) - Weight 22.8lbs

20x9.5” (ET 26/ ET 22) - Weight 23.9lbs
20x10.5” (ET 35) - Weight 24.9lbs

As design of this particular project and other related offerings came about through refinement and feedback bimmerpost community, Richland Forged will offer incentives exclusive to Bimmerpost members. Bimmerpost members are eligible for discount on a purchase of any of our wheelsets. Members may use PM to acquire your individual member discount code.

In addition, military discounts are also available due to Richland Forged’s commitment to service members and origins in the defense industry. See the “Honor” section of our website for details on military discounts.

The GT4 is now available for purchase directly via our website at www.richlandforged.com. Lead time is approximately 35 days from initial purchase to delivery within the contiguous United States.

See pricing and bimmerpost discount specifics in the sponsor classifieds section here:

That brushed gunmetal finish is money. Good job team. Sorry for not being a part of the pilot group.

We can entertain an extreme offset such as that on an individual basis...

Have you considered offering them in an 18” diameter with the increased widths and more aggressive offsets? This would be another viable track wheel option, depending on price of course. The GT4 wheel is quite challenging to make it fit with the stock front suspension setup and the 763M F/R wheels aren’t wide enough.

I sincerely hope they don’t for my wallet’s sake. Not sure I could say no to 18s in brushed clear.

F87 M2C owner here. Lyle stopped by my house in the south suburbs of Chicagoland earlier this week to test fit this wheel over the M2C 2NH calipers and the fitting went great!

The concavity of this wheel is a little more obvious when compared with the 763M wheels....looked great! He brought a sampling of other finishes and all of them look fantastic. The brushed finishes were really nice and had some complexities to them that were really unique and refreshing to see. Overall quality looked very good.

I will for sure be buying a set this upcoming spring and posting back results, including experience with track use.
