I looked at those but wanted something bigger than 295 and dont think 335s will fit which is the next size up for 18's.

Went from 4s to rt615 then to continental ecs02. I’m happy with them. Rt615 were too noisy. Similar if not better than 4s with more tread wear.

I just put a set of RT660’s on my 19” VS-5RS. I’m going to try them out as an occasional track day tire, with some more daily/back road driving this summer. I was on 20” wheels with PS4S, but man I forgot how good having some additional rubber makes for ride quality. Tire sizes are 275/30 up front, 305/30 in the back. My first track day is in June, and I’ll let you know how the tires are holding up sometime after that.

Looks great. I also have RT660 + VS5-RS on my Tanzanite Blue.

I really gotta mount them.

Rt615 was great and sticky. Lot of road feedback. I drove around for 2 days and decided to go to ecs02 for more daily able ride. They are really nice track/race tire.

You most definitely do! I actually found out that RT660s existed because you mentioned it in a previous post. I’ve been putting off the track as life at home and work has gotten busy, but I figured it’s now or never! Looking forward to you getting your set mounted as well, and giving us your detailed feedback as you always do.

Quick update on my experience with the RT660s:

I just had my first track day at NJMP, and the tires held up well over (4) 25-min sessions. I had my tire pressure set at about 30psi the entire time, and they felt sticky the entire way. It took about two laps on the track for the tires to get up to proper temp. That being said, I am going to have the tires checked out at my shop to get their take on how the tires are wearing. I am curious approximately how many track days people are getting out of a set (I know that depends on a lot of variables, but more looking for a rough average). I never felt the tires get ‘greasy’ as I have heard from some after an extended period of use, but everyone’s driving abilities on the track will vary, and affect when/if that happens as a result.

On the street, the tires perform well but obviously take a bit longer to come up to temp. Because of this, for short drives, the tires can feel pretty hard.

That’s my take so far, and I am enjoying the new setup!

Cheers
