Advan Noeva AD09 vs Michillen Pilot Sport Cup 2 connect

Summer is coming up. Has anyone tried the Advan? Anyone have any feedback? Which tire will be better for grip and 1 or 2 track days? What do you guys suggest?

If your only doing a couple track days 200tw tire might not be the best choice depending on how much u drive on the road.

I should just stick to the 4S in that case?

Look, you're comparing two different sizes. 265 and 275. Now, sizes are not always the same across brands, but it is likely that the michelin fronts are not as wide. You will get more understeer with them if that's what you want. The stock size difference is 20 between fronts and rears. BMW set it up this way for a reason.

Overrated exactly how?

I've got 4x track days and 10k miles on my CUP2 Connect * and they are barely at 60% tread remaining. I ran complete 20min sessions at 8-10/10ths and they never got greasy, took an absolute beating each time and drove home and then to work the next day.

Kind of a side note but I also have experience with Yokohama A052, you can skip those. Great for one hot lap and then greasy for the rest, you have to take every other lap off to cool them. Two track days then toasted.

I can recommend Nankang CR-S if you want something a bit more affordable that has similar (or better) performance than the A052. Won't have the longevity of a Cup2, but still much longer than A052.

Rambling at this point, sorry. But my main point is that nothing lasts like a Cup2 (that I have experienced) whilst delivering as advertised. If you're interested in driving fast for your entire session, get Cup2.

I'm inching towards the cup2 connect, but it's about $100 additional each tire. I hope it's worth it over the Advan at that point.

Probably not worth the extra $. 200tw tires are far better in warm dry conditions on track. For anything else the ps4s or new extremecontact sport 02 makes more sense.

I got my Advans fitted. So far I've only driven them in the rain and they are surprisingly good in the rain for a tire with barely any tread. It was pouring and I did just under 70mph/110km/h and they were fine. I haven't hit a puddle at the speed so I can't comment on hydroplaning resistance.

It also hasn't stopped raining since I put them on so I can't comment on dry grip either.

They are stiff, but I don't find them worse than the star spec PSS. Noise wise it's about the same as well.
