Chassis Error--HELP (Bilstein PSS10 B16 Coilovers)

Hello!

Last night, I had a trusted shop install the Bilstein PSS10 B16 Coilover suspension kit into my 2019 F82 (non-zcp), and this morning, I was met with some interesting errors.

Firstly, the most notable error was that my M1 and M2 presets were no longer working. When I pressed either one of them, their symbols would flash on my dash and would not activate. Secondly, I noticed that I was unable to switch into my desired modes manually. This happened when I was driving down the freeway, and I tried switching from "efficient" to "sport." It wasn't until I pullover over and restarted the engine that got the functions to work again.

Is there any solution to this? Am I able to program my M1 and M2 buttons back on my dash? Also, to any other Bilstein Coilover owners, what settings are you running? Currently, I'm running 5F/4R.

Any help would be appreciated!

Do you have EDC coded out or resistors installed?

For cars with EDC equipped, you have the option of going the Bilstein B16 Damptronic route (PSS10 w/ adaptive dampers to retain adaptive functionality), or coding out the errors after installing the PSS10 passive suspension. Since you have the passive version installed, I'd look into coding out the errors. The passive version appears to be more well received than the B16 Damptronic version anyways.

Would you happen to know who can code out the errors/where it can be done?

There's a couple vendors on here, but Alex@Alpine comes to immediate mind. I believe EAS can do it too. Just search for remote coding and you should get plenty of results.

A "trusted" shop in California that did not know about EDC and PSS10 B16, and let you go home with a bunch of errors? Seriously?

I also just recently got PSS10 installed on my 2016 M3 ZCP. I had the EDC coded out.

I am running 5F and 5R right now, but am also considering changing the settings. Why did you choose to have a stiffer front setting?

Also, what is your ride height set at? Mine was set too low at installation and have since raised it up to 622mm front / 603mm rear (measured from the bottom of the rim to fender). Still feels like i don't have much suspension travel in back and may raise it up another 0.25 inch. Overall, I feel like it was a big step up in performance, but still trying to figure out ride quality.

I’ve had the same issue after KW HAS install, if coded out would suspension on comfort be possible to use as well as m1, m2 buttons?

HAS has no effect on EDC.

Bring it by and we determine what's causing the issue, rather than coding it out.
